What's going on with Male Scorpio

So five years ago I had a one nighter with a Scorpio male. We had been flirting at work for about a year. I had left my job and worked somewhere else. We lost contact and I found him a couple of months ago. He is living five hours away. I had business an hour away from where he lives so we decided to get together for another one nighter. We texted each all the time talking about what we were going to do when we got together😉. He told me he has been thinking about me ever since I left. He changed the plans, wanted to take me out to a show and dinner. Afterwards he said he had to go home to help a family member. We never spent the night together. What gives? That is my first question. I was terribly upset and texted him my real feelings for him, that I actually wanted a relationship, not just one nighters. Now I haven't heard from him in two weeks. What should I make of this?

How does telling a Scorpio that you have feelings for him impact them? We have known each other for about 5 years and gotten together with a group of people a couple of times before and went out for lunch once but other than that we are not super close. I didn't tell him I was in love with him or anything just said I really like you and am more interested in a relationship other than just sex.
