Why do Scorpio go cold?

Hey trying to understand my Scorpio lover. I'm not to quite sure if I understand his "coldness". One day he's the most amazing guy sharing similiar sentiments and when I'm on that same high on the next day he's different. I'll tell him all the most beautiful things and its like who the hell was I talking to?

Can someone explain?

I exoerience this same thing with my venus in scorpio guy. He also has one other placement in scorpio. It feels terrible. He also is prone to long bouts of silence & distance. We will have the best conection one night, the next he's completely silent. Idk how much longer I can deal with the hot & cold from him.

Does your guy disappear from time to time?

Need the context of when things change (e.g. conversations prior to, your actions just prior to). Things do not "suddenly" change for a Scorp*. They also do not get cold with a lover if everything is all good. Something happened whether you are aware of it or not.

To be clear are you dealing with an actual Scorp Sun?

I don't want to waste my time discussing someone with one random Scorp placement. They are not the same thing.

I have a scorpio sun, part of fortune, mercury, uranus, venus, and mars...
when I get offended the heart shield gets engaged...simple.
I am loyal when I feel loved, cold when I feel slighted or disregarded. It seems simple to me. All of my scorpio is in the third house....so communication is quite important to me, without it I fill in the gaps. It's human nature to fill it in a defensive, protective way....if I feel jaded. But I get over it when things come up to par and people reveal their nature is other than being an asshole. Unfortunatley people err on the side of being an asshole and defend their position by society's standards of expectations or lack their of..
so how do you show up? Do you show up afterwards or intermittently? I'm not a guy...they are a whole different arena. But as far as a scorpio...yeah, when the heart sheild is engaged, you have to show up in a real way for me to let down the drawbridge for you again.

I second Phoenix. Immaturity plays the biggest role here. This is totally separate from astrology and is a shitty part of life. You have grown ups acting like fucking spoiled children bursting out in tantrums for no reason apart from being self absorbed and selfish.

In the case of defense, yes, that would make sense to an extent. But again, for all signs, actually any living breathing human being, communication is the key. Some of us suck when it comes to expressing ourselves and communicating our needs, wants and dis-pleasures.

Eventually though, because of this lack of communication or fear of saying what you want or don't want, your selfishness tends to only destroy you, not the other person. Yes they may be hurt, but only because they don't know what is going on brought on by us not communicating.

Is that a trait of a scorpio you think? How does one act knowing he doesn't like his woman to be clingy yet let him know you're still thete, knowing he likes the chase

Now, in the terms of Scorpion blood.. Scorpios have always been magnetic from as long as I can remember.

And we might stay the same, but this world changes quickly. People will search until they get their way.. but just as long as they search, Scorpio will stay quiet. No amount of involuntary action will change that, and I know that from my life.
