14 years of history, connection, first loves. HELP

he gained alot of weight from getting sober and clean. She went the opposite direction, started partying, cheating. Now they are getting a divorce, his choice. But he's back, talkign to me every day. Like always...we are there to support eachother. As best friends, as kindred spirits, with all the love in the world. Support. It's an amazing feeling..yet...I just wonder. WHY? Why, if we have this deep connection, this history, that we BOTH feel, why doesn't it ever go anywhere—

I'm sorry but based on your story there has been a lot of backstabbing going on all throughout your relationship with him...on both parties involved. Honestly I would take everything he says with a grain of salt...and don't even bother thinking about dealing with him until you see them divorce papers...

I'm sorry I have a HUGE problem dating married people, separated or not...

This is all so swell, you find someone you're compatible with when you're young and hope this is the one you are going to be with forever. 14 years is along time and then when you guys split, you split for a reason and did your own thing the both of you guys. That is ok.

So time flies you do what life throws at you and you got your shit together, and he got his together. The difference is you stuck around for awhile in hoping to work on your relationship from the past.. idk I am confused so I am trying to understand..

This is the same scenerio of why did you go back to an ex? and why are you messing with a married man now? But he didn't wait around for you to change or whatever happened in your relationship and got married to someone else, now you have to wait till the divorce actually happens. Because you can't get married to married guy now, and shit just changed in a huge way.... and if you have kids or if the wifey has kids by him man could be troublesome.
