We had the "talk" last night and we've decided that after the lease on the house is up, we will go our separate ways. The lease is up in December.

I stayed up all night really thinking if this was the right thing to do and after 2.5 years with this Gemini, I came up with more less flattering thoughts about our relationships than what I consider positive.

Taurus gals, when you get depressed in a relationship, do you tend to eat more and exercise less? In the last 2.5 years, I have gained 25 pounds!!
I tend to eat when I'm stressed and most of my relationship with him has been stressful. I know it's not fair to blame him, but I wonder if I will start dropping weight after I move out in December?

Break up/divorce diet. Best one in the world unfortunately. When the ex walked I shed 40 lbs. in under 2 months. I can definitely answer a 'yes' to the question. I larded up and lost myself in the interim of my marriage,..turned to food for comfort and topped out at about 300 lbs. Was pushing a size 26/28. In under a year I'd lost 100, kept going and am now g at a size 12 through sheer nail-biting money management, Pilates and spaz-tastic at work. I reclaimed myself. After 3 bairns I'm well satisfied with where the bod is.

So Pilates worked for you? I've heard it really helps, but I don't see how.

It's amicable now, I hope it stays that way when we get closer to the move out date and when we start dividing the assets.

Your own body is the resistance. It is for core strength. It looks deceptively graceful but you will SWEAT. It helps, and you can feel yourself moving like air. You feel strong and graceful. LOL I still can't do a proper plank, HOWEVER!

I hope it stays that way too, it would be so much better than a nasty split.

I'm sorry to hear of your breakup houstonpeach, but you've intimated it was coming 😢
I can't eat when I am upset/depressed/heart broken. My stomach feels awful and I can't even imagine swallowing. When me and my ex-fiance broke up I lost over 30 lbs in 6 weeks time because all I could eat was crackers and drink vodka and orange juice or ginger ale. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone, but that's just all I could do at the time because I was so distressed. Also, if I am stressed, I can't really eat too much, but it's a different feeling than when I am upset/depressed/heart broken. When I am stressed, I can eat a little, but I am so busy and agitated that I'll basically go the whole day without eating because I have too much going on. When I am happy, on the other hand, I can get my grub on 🙂
I don't fluctuate in my weight too much; maybe 10 lbs or so; however, since I've started working out again, I have lost a little weight, but I'm just actually redefining my body and getting uber toned.
