Leo and Taurus, can it work?

Hi Everyone, I have been lurking here quite a while, I love the insights you share with each other and community you have. I made the leap to join in the conversation.

A lot of things I've read suggest that Leo and Taurus can't work. I don't typically believe everything I read and I don't think any one person is exactly like their sign. But they do offer sometimes spot on clues about behavior. What I've read in here about Taurus guys...so much of it rings so true, it is equally surprising and comforting. I'm really quite in love with a Taurus guy and I want it to work but (shockingly pfft) it is slow going. At some point I'd love to share the story here but I thought I'd get my feet wet with this topic first. 🙂

Maybe its something with the planets? This Leo girl is thinking that Taurus men, just MIGHT be the perfect male species.

Not so bad match.
My friend's parents are taurus and leo (leo woman, taurus man)

Another couple that has been together in a few years too (leo woman and taurus man)

.......there are Leo women wanting me at my place of work and I actually find this exhausting because I want to be friends, but they want more. I don't like when people misunderstand me. What if one of them suddenly showed up here and said they were led on when that isn't my intention? @_@

I know 2 marriages that are Taurus male/Leo Female. Both are very rocky - a WHOLE lot of fighting going on. In one of them, every time they fight, the Leo female runs around smashing the Bull's stuff - like big stuff....TV's and PC's. CONSTANT drama....It has gotten physical a couple of times and police were involved. Its basically a war, but they stay together and actually do love each other. He is a Leo moon too. The Leo fems pretty much run the show in these relationships. All things considered, as far as Sun Signs alone go, I'd say its not a great match.

For me personally, I understand the chemistry. I absolutely love Leo people in general. One of the most attractive things is that every Leo I know, though not an "intellectual", is super intelligent. Whatever we do, whether cards or a board game, having an argument, just cracking jokes, etc. - I am always impressed with how Leos will pretty much dominate. Just extremely sharp people. The Leo women on this board in relationships with Taurus men seem to really understand the bull's ways more than other signs.

Myself, I'm Leo moon, Leo dominant, and 8th House cusp in Leo. I find Leo women to be the most physically attractive, hands-down, absolutely love the sense of humor, the straightforward/simplicity when it comes to courtship and sexuality, etc. I have a ton of Leos in my life. I don't think I could ever do the relationship though. I can't allow myself to be dominated, and I hate drama. I think a bull really has to be passive in alot of areas in order for it to work. I find myself competing with all my Leo female friends whenever we hang, and its fun, stimulating, sexy and all that, buuuut...I can see this competition being a really bad thing in an actual relationship. It might be all my Leo placements though....But I do think a bull who is not allowed to wear the pants, will eventually feel stepped on.

I think it can work if the Leo is willing to push that ego aside for awhile and the Taurus to be less stubborn at times and just go with the flow

Definite sexual chemistry AT FIRST also. I think when Leo and Taurus meet up they just instinctively recognize that they are in the presence of another large sexy beast...hahahaha....With one couple I know, she said that - she just instinctively knew that her bull was good in bed the first time they met, and that's what mainly attracted her. But ultimately, I think bulls are a little lazy with it, and every Leo woman I know demands at least a daily romp, or they go insane.

I don't have Leo anywhere, but this is almost exactly how I feel. There are more things I dislike than I do like with a pretty fair enough amount of them to not think any good will come of something outside of a friendship. However, I am only one person and these are not my circumstances.

Daily romps are a fantastic idea I totally agree with....... oh. Maybe that's why they want me. I don't know how to feel about this...... Um.

That first paragraph sounded like me and my ex Scorpio husband. Except he was the one smashing things, it was a war. Loved each other madly though. I was the dominant one in that, so was he. And we disagreed on fundamentally everything else, religion, politics, child rearing and whether or not the sky was blue. I had to stick up for myself and the pride (3 kids).

I must dominate in my professional life. At home I want the stereotypical old school situation of the man wearing the pants. I want to be dominated.

Thanks, I hope so. I typically am like a purring cat in love. Very agreeable and docile. I think I attribute it to getting enough of the power and dominance every day at work lol

anonymous, I was hoping you'd reply. I've read some of your posts about your Taurus guy. I could relate to some of it. Particularly the fan club and him asking you to make plans and then bailing. I'm honest with my Taurus and tell him if something is bothering me. And he totally put my mind at ease with the harem girl in particular that had me green. He reads me well and when he realized I was bothered (in my mind it was clear I was bothered about him changing plans) he asked me what was wrong...he was pretty annoyed actually...but I told him calmly that I didn't like changing plans and I didn't like the way it made me feel ...he went quiet...then showed up like Prince Charming doing exactly what I wanted. Maybe 20 years ago I would have been ego driven and bothered he was kissing up after the fact but now...it just made me happy that he wanted to make me happy and honestly didn't have a clue about how those things made me feel. I liked reading what you had to say...details different but feelings and situation similar. Thanks.

I have a soft spot for Leo Suns, even though I've never been in a relationship with one. I would sign them as amazing friends. Male or female, Taurus and Leo are square - very incompatible. Differences aside, there is often an insane, magnetic attraction between square and inconjunct signs. Compromise very much needed.

Depends on the type of Taurus... If it's a passive Taurus (like a Cancer man) that thinks he can buy a girl with a diamond ring, it can work because the Leo woman will dominate him. Probably, he will loose everything in divorce later LOL
One thing I instantly recognize in Leos is the expression "drama queen" LOL
Although, sex is good and you know it instinctively from first sight.
The main chemistry occurs because Taurus likes to feel that he is giving pleasure to her with his hands. And Leo woman (comparing with a cat) likes to be grabbed with firm/heavy hands. Suddenly, things are getting hot around here... LOL

Unfortunately, I don't even get one. IT's complicated. We don't live together and I have three children. When we do get together though, lets just say, he needs a day to recover, I keep him up all night. 🙂

I know of one Leo Woman/Taurus Male marriage that has been 10+ years at least.
It can work. Depends on the leo and taurus. Sun signs don't give all the answers.

Personally, I've only achieved causal friendships with Taurean guys. Romance ruins it.

That's really great to hear. Encouraging. He seems to be a typical Taurus...but I am not a typical Leo.

That last part was one of the first things that just took my breath away early on. He'd been watching me (I"m a musician and I just got done a set) and I went to find him. There he was, standing out in the rain, and as I walked up to him he begins to tell me how amazing I am, and as soon as I got close enough he put those massive hands around my waist, pulled me into him and kissed me. Forget it. LOL I was done for. Never had a man grab me with that strength. Ruined for other men at that point.

my days of that are over. he's "religiously conflicted" -_____- when its up with teasing and no result. NO THANKS! He's in the doghouse and not allowed to spend the night. If he wants no sex I will give him just that, and he will be begging for it. I did not appreciate the tease this morning.

I've come to the conclusion that my Taurus will never really understand me. I for the most part get him, but that doesn't mean I agree with him. Taurus doesn't want to rock the boat, Leo wants to rock and roll. The relationship is pretty much like being tossed about in a rough ocean. Playing with the elements, unsure of how it will even out...

My Taurus guy did the same thing with sex. And then again with music. I think he just wanted to know our relationship wasn't based entirely on one of those things. Silly man.

The one taurus man I met, taught me extreme patience that ended in just what he dictated "friendship". Nice guy I guess,(he was very detached). I found the experience to be very exhausting. It could be that I took his flirtatious and constant phone calls to actually mean something more than "just friends". I wouldn't befriend a male taurus again nor date one, I'm just not emotional equipped for their journey.
