Parents of the taurus

Oh no. I moved across the country 2 years ago, free from overbearing parents and a dead end freezing cold city.

Now, they are coming to me, for a freakin' week!!!!!!

OK, here's the rundown:

- dad: taurus, mom: virgo both: VERY religous
- i didn't tell them i live with my bf, of which they would disown me over!!! (i know it's 2008)
- they drive me nuts after 4 hours, and now, a bloody WEEK!!!!


I am so freaking out, I'm kicking my man out for the week, so avoid my dad having a heart attack, and to avoid my man being murdered!

haha, and yes I am 28 years old in this situation. It sucks. 😢 I'm the baby girl in the family too, boo hoo!

I respect my parents to the highest degree; however when I left their home I let them know (politely) that I was an adult and would make my own way in the world, so hopefully they would respect me enough to let me make my own way (ie, mistakes) and still love me. Also, I did let them know that when visiting them I would respect their rules; however, if I lived a certain way and they didn't approve, they were more than welcome to stay at a hotel.
My mom is pretty religious, my dad's not, but wasn't thrilled when I was "shacking" up, but they respected me and vice versa. So as a compromise, when I was engaged and one or both of them would visit us, my ex-fiance would sleep on the couch and I'd sleep in the guest room and allow my parent(s) our bedroom. They liked my maturity about the situation, and while they didn't approve necessarily of my living situation per se, they loved me more than some contrived societal rules. That is respectful of you, and I KNOW I should do that too, but I can't. I'm a suck when it comes to my parents. They are so judgemental it kills me. My sister has been honest with them on some things they disapprove of, and oh my god, do they let her know! If fact they remind her constantly until she goes home crying and they talk to the rest of the family about things she doesn't do right. .....so looking at that, ffffff I DON"T want to go through that.

LOL (yes, I read it all 😉). I understand, it's hard to have to stomach all that crap from families. Also, I don't have any siblings, so I had no point of reference. I pretty much do whatever the hell I want anyway. I'm 180 degrees different from my mom, but she's ok with that now. We need the good people (like my mom) and the bad/naughty people (like me) to make the world go round 🙂
It's only a week, you'll be ok. I just hope your boyfriend doesn't mind sleeping in his car and getting showered at the YMCA that week! LOL, just kidding!

Well things are working out, my our friends are going to Cuba while my parents are gone so they offered us their keys to housesit their snake. It's a brand new fancy condo so I think my man will be happy! watch out stripper service!!! hahahhaha

now i can get excited about the visit, being a tourguide! 🙂
