I've noticed this with my own mother and now a friend of mine, as he just said the same thing to me.

Whenever they're not working themselves to the bone, weekend or during the week, they feel GUILTY for doing nothing or relaxing. He asked me why that is and I was clueless.. why is that? He loves a busy schedule and my mom loves to work till she practically falls asleep on the spot.

Why do taurus people feel the need to be busy non stop, or they get guilt?

Oh no no, not me. When I work, I work hard. When I relax, I'm the most relaxed person in the world. There is a lot of ritual in my relaxation time, and once it's begun there's no switching into work mode. And no, no guilt either. I earned it!

I get that you earned the relax time, we all do if we know we worked hard.
But his problem is that he feels guilty for doing nothing, even if he worked all day long.. he still feels guilt to a certain degree. He doesn't understand it himself 😄
I quote: why do I feel guilty for doing not a whole lot today, but I also feel it when I worked my ass off. Weekends I can never fully relax it seems.

It's like you said, even if you worked all day and then get that voice nagging 'still need to clean the floors', it won't stop till you do it. That's my mom for ya there..

So how do you cope with that? Must be annoying to constantly have that voice go 'you're lazy, get up and do stuff'.
I'm trying to explain to him how you taurus people should feel about this 😄
Reverse world much?

@ Ormas. Maybe they could use a little help with the idea that MeTime is not being lazy? Meaning, if they go to the gym, cook a meal, or take a hike - that isn't being lazy but is being productive on building themselves.

Could this tie into the idea that some Tauruses feel rooted in NOW so have this overriding/underlying need to pack as much work into every day as they can? They may think this minute, hour, day, etc. is all they will ever have and time slips through their fingers too quickly. Back to the traditional Taurus = "I have." They cannot collect time, hoard it, or save it for a rainy day - so time must all be USED as much as possible.

Do you know their moons? My first guess is earth moons. http://astrology-numerology.com/sun-moon.html#sun_taurus ">http://astrology-numerology.com/sun-moon.html#sun_taurus</a>

You've mentioned your Dad is a Taurus too. Is he much better at relaxing than your Mom?

I cannot rest unless the housework is done either. But I try hard to do those things during the work week, so the weekends are "mine" and not for running errands or accomplishing things around the house. Plus it is much easier to run errands at 8pm on a weeknight than noon on Saturday with the rest of the planet.

>>> I get this real bad. My thing is that I enter such a deep lethargic state when I relax, I feel like I will never get out; I could waste my life there. I don't let myself watch TV anymore (unless my girl is over), because I will sit there and watch it for 8 hours, then come back the next night and do the same, and the next....It becomes a habit. In fact, I think some part of me would prefer to waste my life doing nothing. That voice that says 'you're lazy, get up and do stuff' is right IMO.

I'm guilty of this hahaha I'll be laying in my bed in the morning for like 2 hours just LAYING there and I feel disgusting for not doing anything productive, but guess what? I still lay there in disgust hahahaha I HATE when I do that!

I feel guilt because I feel like as time passes I reflect on the past and think "well I could've used all my free time in the past learning languages (hobby), doing something of benefit for myself, etc, but NO, I spent all that time sleeping, lounging, playing video games, etc etc.".

But without any of that free time, I get stressed out. It's a lose lose situation thanks to my restless Aries moon/mercury feet fighting my lazy Taurusness.

If I don't actively schedule something to do early Saturday mornings, I can sleep until 2 in the afternoon. I can easily sleep 12-14 hrs on any given night. Sleep is one of my favorite things. Also always feel soooo guilty after I lay in bed like tha though. Basically kills the day.
