when it comes to taur, you have to be very patient and if you have made a mistake its better to apologize and show them you care.. which i have been doing.. Because in my case i know i hurted my guy.. I didnt give him any space now i have understood my mistakes and i am taking one step at a time.. like harry used to say baby steps 🙂

Besides anger, my silent treatment may be because I need to be alone with my emotions and escape. I've done it when a person or situation has become emottionally draining.

Yep, that's so me sometimes. This is particularly true with the women in my life, because they are so self-absorbed and draining. When I am going through stuff, I do it on my own, but most of my female friends have no problem dragging you through the depths of hell with them. They divulge every personal detail imaginable, and then wonder later, why their friends, family, and co-workers have no respect for them—? Shaking my head. A lot of women (that I know) can not take it when you tell them you don't want to listen to their crap anymore. They get defensive (ok, I get it), but it's like, they are draining my life away by all their crap but get upset when I am tired of hearing it—? So, I just chose not to talk to them anymore and remove myself. Then, they can think whatever they want about me, because by removing myself, it saves both of us from me having to say some mean things to them.

I'm confused with the silent treatment..heck, i don't know if he's even coming back..😢 I was dating a Taurus male (I'm a Libra woman btw), we were getting to really know each other, expressed our feelings (he expressed his interest more than me & initiated..). We have been friends for 7 years before we started dating last year. He's one of those very blunt types, who says it how it is. We started spending more time together and he expressed how happy he was to be with me and that he wants to spend more time together since we're both pretty busy with our careers. After expresses his feelings to me & being more affectionate and I agreed that I want to spend more time too..days later he became distant and now has disappeared, no call or text. Is this the norm with Taurus? I'm not the clingy type, but no contact at all is weird..He's had some bad relationships in the past, so have I..but who hasn't. Do Taurus always turn this hot/cold so quickly? I'm a Libra & i like to weigh things out, but his actions have me feeling vulnerable..when he textes it's very brief & other days no text at all, sometimes i've had to initiate. It's been almost 2weeks since we've seen each other & haven't talked in a week. Should I just let him go? I'm just so confused with his upfront feelings & affectionate, then a sudden and complete hault..

Its actually quite soul destroying for the non-Taurus.

We talk every day and then without warning, nothing for days, weeks, no response, no "hey I need some by-myself time" nothing. The other person, if they care, is then left to try and figure out...is he mad?...did I say something wrong?...has he been hit by a car?....eloped with someone he met in a bar?

I don't care how strong you are or independent you are, when someone you care about seemingly evaporates into thin air without a word, it eats away at you, it strips the love and trust and tenderness away and replaces it with fear, and hurt, and anger. It turns you into someone tied to your phone or email...in case you get some news, some contact, some crumb of attention....and that is cruel.

The only person in my entire life...and there has been only one....who has been able to reduce me to tears, desperation, depression, self doubt, and soul aching pain...simply be evaporating into thin air without reason or notice... is a Taurus. I am a confident, fun loving, independent girl in every aspect of my life. I have walked away from several relationships and don't suffer fools. I don't think twice about people who are cruel or rude or don't meet expectations.....EXCEPT one Taurus who hurts me as much today when he disappears as he did over a decade ago.

I understand needing time away to think or needing space to focus on work or other aspects of your life. But would it really tread on the Taurus need to retreat to just say, "hey I am really busy with work this week, it may be a week or so before I see you or contact you?

Scarlett I so agree with you. The taurus I meet back in November of last yr did the same thing to me. I've made a post on here about it before " should I call him " and from what everyone have told me, is that the reason why he got distant, after him trying to woo me for weeks and I finally decided to give in. He stop and starting distancing himself. I called him the last day we had plans the first week of December and he send my last call to voicemail, an never called back.


I finally saw him after two weeks at the office I work. He just looked at me, smile briefly and went on to do what he came there to do. And from then on everytime he sees me there, he smiled briefly and continue to do his thing, that damn boyish smile of his. He has no idea the pain and heartbreak he has put me through the past few weeks.

How are we women suppose to know if the ignoring/silent treatment is because you need space or just not into us anymore ?? This is completely rude, Disrespectful and cruel. We would never do that to you, for me being a August born virgo I tried my best to let this taurus knew I liked him and that he was the only one I was into. Plus he ask constantly, for reassurance and made it known I was into him like a fat kid on cake.

And we clicked so well, like we known each other for a lifetime and was catching up where we left off. From our likes, dislikes, the kind of life we want, what we are both looking for, our ways of doing things, and for some reason he knew exactly what I was thinking about before i even said it. It was the same thing with him for me, it was like telepathy, it freaked me out lol and for some reason we got into this routine of how we communicate, there was a certain time and everything. So when i didn't calm him one night at that time he came by without calling ahead. Asking why I didn't call that night. I was hoping for him to call for once.



But after he send my call to vm, like I knew he's a busy man, he has his life before me and is not about to change his routine for me, but after only what three weeks and his guy drops the " I love you " bomb without us even being official that completely throw me off. So what is it ? First you tell someone you love them (wth ) then ignore me weeks after, I finally decided just like how he needs to know I care I needed the same also. It takes two to tango here, I think that's something this taurus guy needs to learn.

It's give and take here. Like now sometime I hate him,

but I know if I see him it would take alot of self control to dig deep into my virgo senses to keep myself in check. I've played so many scenarios in my head of what would happen if I see him again, he's on vaca right now since the last week of December. I know I will see him again, I plan on treating him like a stranger from now, because I did call him one more time again the weekend before he left and he never called back. So I know the silent treatment wasn't him thinking things over but him just not interested in me anymore. Too bad thou I know I would've made one heck of mate to him, he's the one missing out here lol

@Scarlettgirl I'm a non-Taurus myself and your right no matter how I try to rationalize it all in my head, being left in the dark by the Taurus man with not a single reply hurts. I am a very confident, independent, outgoing, fun loving type myself..and it is very cruel. You developed feelings for someone and they just completely shut you out, no reason why. You expect them to care, you trusted them, cared about them. I understand needing their own time to retreat, heck..I need that sometimes too. But I can't imagine NOT giving someone I care about any kind of heads up and shut them out completely. I have teared up, despite trying to hide it and feel lost. I didn't expect this from the Taurus I'm dating, he always is very upfront, no beating around the bush type person..I just didn't see it. I even googled around about Taurus to find out this disappearing act was actually a popular topic. So now, I feel like I should just give up on what we had and have been keeping myself busy with my career and friends/fam/activities. Hey everybody sorry to just butt into this, I've tried making 2 different posts and can't see them. This guy has me really confused. I'm not sure what to do or what he wants.

This taurus I've been seeing since september has me confused. We usually txt about once a week and see each other once a week. In october he made the first move and mentioned that he was looking for a relationship. He's never had one before. I told him I'm not looking for one since I'm going to an out of state school some point this year and I didn't want things to get all serious then have to break them off. But I told him I like him a lot and that I'm not going to see anybody else. We kept seeing each other like normal after that. By thanksgiving break he was heading home to visit. We saw each other the week he left and then when he got there I got an "I miss you and wish you were here with me" txt, I replied and said I missed him too. When he came back things were like they were then I saw him dec. 9th. After that he had to finish up finals and work stuff for the school then when he was done with those he was going to head home for xmas break. I initiated txting him asking how things were going the following week he replied, I asked if we'd see each other before he'd leave. He said he should be free tuesday. When tuesday came I figured since I had initiated txting him about hanging out I'd let him txt me if he was free. He never txted. He went from saying I miss you and seeing me before leaving for Thanksgiving break to leaving for xmas break with out even saying when he was leaving. I ended up txting him the 23rd asking if he had left. The next day he responded saying yes and asking what I was doing for the holidays. He didn't say anything about tuesday. So I responded to his question then being confused by the change compared to last time, I asked "so do you still want to hang out with me when you get back here?" The response I got was "I'll get in touch when I get back" I basically said have nice holidays he made sure to say you too and sent it again when I didn't respond. That was the last time we talked the 24th.

I'm sure if he really meant he'll get in touch when he gets back. I don't know if he's all the sudden uninterested or met someone else. Or is really busy/ just wants to be left alone while on vacation. I don't know if maybe I haven't shown him that I like him as much as I do? Should I wait until he contacts me or contact him? Am I over reacting? Sorry to butt i

You aren't butting in at all. But I don't know what to tell you.

I have known "my" Taurus for well over a decade and we have children. It's still the evaporation routine. He has said, "hey thanks for understanding that I need time to myself" after he disappears for a week without warning....but come on Taurus folks...we are supposed to understand your need to retreat..fine can't you care about other people's need to for some contact?

@Essielove I agree completely. You get to the point that you hate him. You hate how he makes you feel, hate how much time you waste worrying about something that certainly doesn't seem to concern him enough to send you a sentence or a text.

Years I got emails and calls all about how I was the "one" that got away and "don't you wonder what could have been?" But as soon as I respond in any way that might signal a desire to try again, POOF and hes gone. How about instead of telling me what might have been Taurus you actually make something NOW, HERE, TODAY?

And maybe that's the deal. All that romance is about being some sort of sad "could have been" without having to put any actual effort into it. This way he can be the martyr. The sad romantic man whose heart was forever destroyed by some heartless woman who left....that is the story he has told for years and years. That story has gotten him laid at bars for a decade. What horrid woman could have walked away from this handsome, sexy, charming, romantic man.....aaawwwww and the panties drop.

The fact is, he may love me above all others. I may be the one that got away. I may be the love of his life. But he keeps it all in his head. So I could just as easily be the casual plaything when he is bored. He could be stringing me along as part of some sick vengence. I could be one of dozens of girls that he says the very same things to.....and at minimum, if someone really loves you, cares for you, is interested in being with you....you should be able to tell the difference.

You wrote down the problem yourself in the first bit and now wonder what's wrong?
He was looking for a relationship and clearly mentioned this after making the first move, but you blocked it off by not wanting anything because you're going out of state. He wanted more, you said no. What's hard to understand here?

He's trying to hold on but it's getting to him and you're a dead end right now. He's browsing his options, figuring out what he wants to do about you, or whatnot. He missed you and clearly showed that he wanted more than chatting or friends, but you ignored it all. Now you wonder why he's pulling back?

If you want to be friends with him, you better say it out loud right now. Don't wonder on why he won't reply. Tell him that you want to be friends with him if that's what you really want. Don't let him hope for more if you're never going to go for it, for your personal reasons.

It's too many mixed signals from you right now and it's confusing him. State what you expect from him and accept what that results in. Otherwise you're stringing him along with uncertainty and it'll turn to resentment. I would ignore you because you're a painful reminder of what didn't happen, perhaps after a while I could cope with it, but not when the rejection is fresh.

DO you like him more than friends? Just be honest, it'll get you so much further in life than all this wondering and half spoken truths hidden in riddles & confusion.

We are already more than friends. I'd call us friends with benefits I guess. Right after the last time we hung out I realized that I like him a lot more then I thought I did. I was going to tell him I guess it's weird we're not in one cause I definitely like him enough to be in one with him. The feelings I thought I could try and prevent from developing are there anyways. Whether we'd be called boyfriend and girlfriend or friends with benefits I'd probably be bummed just the same if we broke up/ stopped seeing each other. I was planing on bring that up the next time we were supposed to see each other, but then that never ended up happening. I don't know if I should just txt him and say that. Does that will come off all crazy and desperate? I definitely don't want to come off like that lol. Or since he said "I'll get in touch when I get back" maybe he doesn't want that anymore or is seeing someone else or just wants to be alone now? I guess I don't know if I should txt him or let him txt me? I don't even know when he's supposed to get back.

But being grown up is facing your issues head on. There should be time to reflect, but not in a manipulative effort to feel controlled.

My usually angelic Taurus shut down on me this morning over small potatoes, and now isn't responding to my text (although it didn't merit a response)leaving me feeling somewhat ignored..maybe getting the silent treatment. Who knows after his fit this morning. What's funny is Taurus can be super selfish and also super hypocritical- do as I say not as I do.

When he did wrong to me, I sent a sweet text to him saying it's ok, I love you. Even though I was pissed, because I wanted his soul to feel at ease. He commented on how much that helped him. Yet, he's not doing the same.

Something to be reviewed however, is that Taurus does tend to blame self first. So it's entirely possible he's sitting around feeling like he's in the wrong and going through that torment..Yet on the outside, it looks like I'm being punished. Taurus seems to want you to psychically know what they want and not have to discuss it. I think that's silly. You can't know everything. Being adult is communicating. There has to be give and take.


LUCKILY I figured this out, before I let my leoness get the best of me...spouting off demanding a reaction, and trying to just send him positively through my mind, speak well of him with our mutual friend. Think of him lovingly. I think Taurus is really tuned into vibes and they can feel this. The best thing I can do for him, besides respect his space, is take care of myself in the absence so that when he comes around, I'm ok, and happy, and calm to receive.

As humans we take a lot of OUR issues out on our partner, then punish them, then beat ourselves up. I decided I'm going to STOP that. I can't make him do anything. All I can do is love him. He's not perfect, I'm not perfect, we are all different. It's ok. If you will let them, Taurus will teach you patience. What can you teach Taurus?

But I think I have finally reached my breaking point with him, and MUST let him go. And the next time he comes around with his crumbs, dropping them at my feet, throwing his charming smile at my face....he is going to see nothing. Because I don't DO crumbs. I am too good for this, I have too much to offer, and I am not going to sacrifice another ounce of my self worth for this man who OBVIOUSLY could care less about me.

I am glad I read this (and other) threads on the subject. I now see him for what he really is (and this is after 5 years of this nonsense.) What he is always pulling IS cruel, whether he thinks so or not. So I am moving on. (at least I am going to try....)

When he did wrong don't say you're ok. When you did wrong to him yes you have to fix that.

Give him the dosage he wants. if he is giving you a silent treatment then do the same thing

and let's see what happen next. That's what I did to my Taurus man even I knew I was the one

who made a mistake during break up. I kept it to myself... only. He didn't know until now.

lol. It's just because I did it for a purpose. Yes , he even thrown me out and telling me

not to contact him and yes I did. Then there he is contacting me... lol.

@ soul talk. I might not operate the same way as other taureans but I do dissapear a lot... usually it's when that person is demanding something more than I can offer... Whether that will be "meet up" " relationship" I am an earth sign and I do like my routines... I don't like feeling out of control... I need to recharge and think things through.. Sometimes it's a way to escape... I run and hide... I need a lot of space when I do that.. Hence why I understand what is going on in my bulls head... I offer or say what I need to say then I pull back.. I don't push .. Or nag... Silence speak volumes... It makes your heart go wonder too...during our dissapearing acts.. It is "highly" important you are living life and focus on "you"... We will then slowly come out of our shell n reconnect where we left off.... Like nothing ever happened ....it's usually about "me" when I dissapear.... either I'm too busy with other things or im just not ready to "communicate" right now... Yes it would be easier if I say that to the person before dissapearing ... But it doesn't work that way for us... We are great at "brb" >

My Taurus guy (I'm a Leo)blew up at me over a joke that I made on facebook. He absolutely knows it was a joke but he used it as an excuse to be angry at me. Now he's giving me the silent treatment and he basically told me (In a really immature way) he wouldn't ever text/call me again. -so I made light of it in a "funny" comment back that basically said I wasn't affected by the nasty way he said it. Our relationship before was always so light and funny and fun and we argue and tease and play...then last week it went from hysterical fun to bull in a china shop over a joke I KNOW he didn't take offence to, he knows me better... The only things I can think of are maybe I texted him too much and I should have let him do more of the connecting, or else he is moving in a couple months and he's just trying to push me away because he doesn't want to deal with LD. He's been really hurt in the past but, so have I. And he doesn't really display all the typical Taurus characteristics either. His "romance" is building a bonfire having a few beers together and talking all night...not gifts. He was just beginning to warm to me and start getting touchy when I would come around...I've only been seeing him about a month. I'm not sure what to do because I really like this man and he's got amazing qualities other than this negative outburst. Normally this is the part I freak and do everything wrong but, he grounds me. So I am leaving him alone and haven't tried to contact him. But should I ever try to contact him again if he stays mad? I'm still on his FB so it doesn't seem that he is totally done, maybe just pissed...but I really don't think it was the joke. Retreating or silent treatment isn't a good sign with me. I'm usually an over-communicator. I will bend over backwards trying to make something work - even when there are problems (especially if I feel at all guilty). If I'm not talking anymore it usually means I'm done...or on my way there.

For the @op of this rant, I am sorry but we're not talking about ghosting from what I gathered; we're talking about taking some time to let the heat cool down and think about what happened and how to make it better. If you truly knew this person you would understand that when these things happen that person returns and when that person returns they can then explain things in a more realistic light because they have thought it out. This makes for a better relationship. How can that be wrong.

Then you have a Taurus Sun like me who has Venus and Mercury in Aries and perhaps Rising as well. If things are messed up I will tell you in a minute exactly how I feel and then go about my business without you. I don't leave people hanging, I tell them up front exactly what is going on. I've said things like "I'm done with the conversation for now but we can talk about it later". And I have told men I was dating that I can't do this anymore because it's not working so don't call or contact me anymore.

It's about listening and understanding and respecting people's differences. Your agenda can not be pushed on a Taurus unless they agree. Not everyone is like you.

I have Venus in Aries as well. It's a tricky combination I must say. We go in fast but then slow our roll to analyze and most times move on. If we land and stay because it works for us - we are loyal and wonderful. Take it very slow and you are doing the right thing by letting her come to you. This is just how she is and there is no rushing things. We need our space to think and regroup and figure out what we want. If you give that to us, we return with a big smile. A few weeks ago i Stop complete ... Texting her ....and she was very Happy seeing me at Work ,..( IT Looks Like it ) ...and she Text me ..again 1 time that day. ...nothing very personal ...

Would you Go distant and push ...and pull even for month now ....when you Like someone alot ....

Only if she is not sure about you and/or if she's gotten hurt recently - she may be in a depressive state and yes we go in hard and then back off if we're not sure or just don't feel right about things. All I can offer is that you stay friends with her and continue on with your life and not be obsessed and overload her which it sounds like that is what you are doing. It may or may not happen.

you are very welcome - I think it's neat how similar placements are alike in a lot of ways - that may be it with the dating someone at work thing : she still may be waiting for him … so then what ? stay friends; ask if she wants to do something outside of work maybe; be patient but do not wait for her get out and enjoy your life; not sure how long this will take with her or even but if she's looking at you with that distant look in her eyes yes she is thinking and wondering … all in all if this ever does happen you want her to be 100% attentive to you not pining over another

For the @op of this rant, I am sorry but we're not talking about ghosting from what I gathered; we're talking about taking some time to let the heat cool down and think about what happened and how to make it better. If you truly knew this person you would understand that when these things happen that person returns and when that person returns they can then explain things in a more realistic light because they have thought it out. I have Venus in Aries as well. It's a tricky combination I must say. We go in fast but then slow our roll to analyze and most times move on. For the @op of this rant, I am sorry but we're not talking about ghosting from what I gathered; we're talking about taking some time to let the heat cool down and think about what happened and how to make it better. If you truly knew this person you would understand that when these things happen that person returns and when that person returns they can then explain things in a more realistic light because they have thought it out. This makes for a better relationship. How can that be wrong.

If things are messed up I will tell you in a minute exactly how I feel and then go about my business without you. I don't leave people hanging, I tell them up front exactly what is going on.
