Just wanted to ask a question...

How would you feel if you had just gone to university to study for 5yrs and your dad wants to live with you?

I know someone who has bought a house for himself and his son to live in together. He wants to give his son security but will be living with him too.

He has only just bought the place and just moved in but his son began uni in September last year so lived with other students and i guess having a life of a 20yr old man.

So how would you feel with your dad living there too?

Isn't college classes online now with the pandemic? So his son is gonna be working on his laptop and dad will come swinging in like this

https://www.tiktok.com/@viralbrothers/video/6812909110934146310

I guess so. He hasn't really said much about his son's study pattern but other people i know with kids at college are online I think.

Hilarious by the way x

Talk about cramping your style

🤣🥴

That's what I thought too.

Why does the dad think its okay lol?

Its a long story so here is the short version. He walked out on his wife and son when his son was 7. He met some. Had a rship. And only saw his son on Saturdays.

So 10yrs later, he is divorced. The ex wife moved miles away so the son lived with his father (and partner), for 2yrs from 17-19yrs old.

In Sept last year the son went to Uni and lived with students and became 20 in January this year.

The father wants to make up for lost time with his son, so has bought a 3 bed house for his son, himself and a lodger - also 20yrs old.

He also wants to make sure his son doesn't trash the place too.

So he will be living with his son for 5yrs. The father is 50yrs old.

There’s a lack of 20 yr olds here, let alone boys. Don’t think boys of that age will be sitting around an astrology board... sorry

Girls usually are and it’s not that common with boys. However this query isn’t really astrology related, so you can ask anywhere tbh.

Good luck

What if he wants to bring someone back for sex and yer old man is in the next room?

🥴👀😂

Thats what I said to him.

Its a bit weird to be honest.

Its nit actually a 3 bed house.

Its a 2 bed, and a basement.

So the father lives in the basement!

Nevertheless whether you're a young man or young woman, you don't want a parent around when your trying to have sex.

Is he a cool dad- the kind that lets u do anything or the strict kind?

He seems the laid back chilled out type. He said he has told his son about respect etc. He also told me that if his son disrespects him, he will throw him out.

But he has said "when I get angry, I really scare people."

And the problem with people who are laid back is that the people around them think they can do what they like, therefore making the laidback person feel taken advantage of.

Yes indeed

I think maybe he’s trying to make up for lost time but his son is a man now so things may prove kind of difficult

It’s a bit sad isn’t it?

Yes. Exactly. I was hoping someone would say that because thats how I feel.

A man of 50yrs old living with two students of 20, one of them your son. He's living there so his son doesn't wreck his house.

I pointed out to him, kind of what you said, that he is 20, not 12, and may want to just Fly, and have his own life.

I then said politely, he may not want his dad hanging around.

He then said "I won't get in his way though."

But the fact is, his father will be THERE. 3ven if just in his bas3ment room, his father will be THERE!

Maybe dad bought house and asked his son to move with him because dad doesn’t want women to think he has a house so he is a good catch and they can be asking to move in with him?

Maybe.

Although he did say, that he wants his son to have security, hence his son living in a place his father owns. The house is for his son to live in.

Plus the father wanted a lodger to live there too to help pay the mortgage. So his son found someone.

Son who is 20 doesn’t HAVE to live with his dad.

He can move out. If he DOES live with his dad it means he is ok with arrangement and it’s them 2 business. Apparently Dad is charging him less than any appt son could had rented.

Also what if they lived together for a long time?

Would that be a subject for discussion of any of them having sex - convenient or not - they live in a same house as many others and it’s not the end of the world!

Ok it sounds like you are angry or something. I'm just asking as I've never come across this. The dad is splitting the mortgage 3 ways.

It's more about a 20yr old wanting to be a man, not possibly feeling uncomfortable.

Its just a question.

Yeah I've lived with my dad a few times in my 20s its cool. Dads already did everything we are doing so they know, You learn allot more off your dad when your older too and your mind is clear. Not that your mind is clear at 20.

Why not do it? fuck paying rent.

On the other hand, at that age you wanna get out and take the world by storm yourself, fuck having your dad around telling you shit being a dad.

True.

I don't know all the ins and outs of their relationship but, he left the family when the son was abiut 6 or 7, and only saw him on Saturdays.

Then when the house got sold the wife moved away and the son moved in with his father and partner, for 2yrs while he studied at college in order to go to university.

So now son has moved away to uni, I think the father is missing him and wants to live with his son.

How’s a person meant to grow and mature if their parents are hanging around?

Our son is due to turn 22 and knows he can come home anytime he likes but I know if I suggested him living with his dad or me he’d prob say “God no, that’s just weird”. He left at 18 to go to college 250 miles away.

Exactly.

I think its because the father was gone from his sons life for 10yrs - except Saturdays, so now he has had his son living with him and his partner for the last 2yrs, he is missing him; and I fear, needs his sin More than his son needs him.

I find it weird too. Not just the having sex thing but just generally too.

He’s trying to recapture the past and he’s putting his needs first, I think living with the two younger guys is a way of reliving what he missed

Yes it’s weird. Tell him he needs therapy lol 🥴
