Even though I’m anti-online dating (simply because of the problems inherent to the concept) and prefer to date people I’ve met in real life, I tried Tinder couple years back just to see the kind of guys on there. Some of them were pretty hot and they told me that they were looking for easy ass or looking for commitment via hitting the sack first (but no guarantees on that either). Interesting enough, I believe Tiz coz here in Oz it's a good mix of people as well. Although some are def looking for a hookup, there were some that were pretty serious about actually connecting and building a relationship. I guess it's a matter of luck. I know some couples here who met their wife/husband via Tinder. I think the good thing about the aussies as well is that people are chill and not very judgmental over hookups etc. There are no dating rules here 😂
It may have to do with all the dating apps we have over here. There are too many to choose from so they end up getting labeled.
But in the end, you still have to weed through the good and bad to find someone worth while. I haven’t met anyone in my area that I liked but I also only met about 6 guys and 2 still contact me, but it’s a dead end cause I’m not interested.
Yeah. It's a matter of luck and weeding out the ones that don't match your goal (whether it's to hookup or get serious). If you haven't met anyone in your area that you like, it's time to expand the search! Hahaha! Tinder premium, it is! But I think it's good that you at least have new people in your life who stay in touch even if you aren't interested to date them.
I don’t mind having friends as long as I’m single. I cut everyone off once I’m in a relationship though.
Since that hasn’t happened yet, I continue to let people come and go as they please.
I’m gonna hop back on a site in a few months and try my luck again, since I’ll be in the market for some fresh meat. See who has enough patience for my bullshit 😜
