I want to buy one, but I'm not sure how it'll work out. Can women with big booties even wear those things? When I buy mini-skirts or mini-dresses, I usually look for the back length to be longer than the front to compensate for the booty. But corduroy doesn't look that forgiving.

I have a vision of this specific outfit I want to wear, and it involves a burnt-brown or brick-red corduroy mini. Thing is, I practically only ever shop online (I hate malls), and I'm not sure if I'll be able to actually wear those stiff beauties.

Any thoughts? Any big-bootied girls on here try one out? Know anyone who does (family, friend, girlfriend?)

i have a booty & thighs and really like the way high waist/pencil skirt shape on me.
OMG! Those are so sexy!

I wore a high-waist skirt for my presentation, and my booty was POPPING! I chose to just power dress that day and go for it, but it's not my go-to style . I usually wear flouncy skirts for both the movement and the not-ASSentuating properties. Pencil skirts make me feel...sausagey. ?

You'll be fine. I'm a big girl with thighs, hips and tummy to match and I love a good mini skirt. The outfit sounds cute! Especially if you add some knee high boots and maybe a cross tie top with billowy sleeves...UGH. I'm just visioning it now.

GO FOR IT!!!
Thanks!!! Ooooo! I like your vision! I'll keep that in mind when I want to change it up. ☺️

I'm thinking a tight long-sleeve t-shirt (or a collared buttondown adrogynous blouse), a bowler derby hat, and my vegan Doc Marten boots, cruelty-free dark-red lips to make my mouth really pop! 😄 Hahaha, I'll know for sure when I have all the elements and can play around with it.

Maybe go for A-line n empire/high waist if you're conscious about the booty.
I've always loved A-line and it's usually the silouhette I go for in dresses.

What about a shift dress style ? Those seem...roomy.

I'm not a fan of shift dresses bub. How defined is your waist? I always thought it's only cool on people who have a straight/column body structure. I feel it makes anyone else look boxy.I always look for definition. If I'm going for shift, I still go for A-lines or something with ruffles or pleats. A belt will do too. Shift dresses are something I only wear when I'm sick #truestory..coz lot of room yes?

Pretty defined

Khalas, I got a cordorouy overall shift that's burgundy off eBay for $ 9.99. It has a swoop shape, so it should sit on my hips nicely (I HOPE!)

I'm okay with the risk considering the bargain. If I like how the material works on me, I'll go for the mini skirt. I will most pay attention to how it fits over my derrière. If it looks boxy ?, I'll take your hint and play around with a belt.

I LOVE ruffles, but I need hard edges for this look (with the blouse and tights being the only real "soft" feature.) Maybe I'll thrown in ruffle socks to top off my combats.

I think I can still go with my original vision and wear a button down blouse underneath with a bowler hat.

Awesome! I like overalls ??

I actually do have overall shift..but it's denim. It doesn't look boxy on me at all..it defines my waist more if anything coz I wear it with a fitted tank top.

Right?? Ruffles are life❤️

I like the idea of button down blouse underneath with bowler hat. Sounds cool?
