I'm talking CLOTHES! ah the dreaded, "cleaning out my closet" thing we do.

A much older girlfriend of mine told me to get rid of anything I don't fit into, because, "it ain't gonna happen, you'll never fit into it again."

But we as women loss weight as often as we gain it, right?

So, is she right?

How do you rid your closet?

Do you keep articles of clothing you no longer fit into?

Help! Ha-ha, I don't know how to throw some clothes out! I'm terrified I'll lose weight and have nothing to wear.

sometimes I lose weight and some of my clothes fit better.

then there are the others.
at the moment I have a box of those which will most likely never ever fit.
Do age and hormones play a role?

I know my hips have grown, and some things need to go... But the things that almost fit should stay. : )

age plays a role but not for 27. I guess.

it is more our habbits. office works make fat.
there's a lot of salt in the industrial prepared food and together with drinks we get swollen. I try to cook by myself. no salt. more vegetables.

ok, cotton may become smaller by washing. but I guess you have also wool and polyester and such which are smaller now.

I'm mostly referring to jeans, in this incident. I was a 0, after a lot of gym and plans to " get curvy" I'm not a 6.

But a 4 looks find but too tight.

Shirts? A lot of them have to go.

In 3 years, I went from size 0 and 110lbs to size 6 and 135lbs.

But I'm way healthier. I just dunno.

It's a long con, but a friend had this great idea about putting a garage sale sticker on her seasonal items when she stored them away for the year. Two years of seasons later, if she had clothes that still had a sticker on, she knew it was something she could part with.

My problem is giving clothes sentimental attachment. Keep saying I'm gonna make a blanket outta my unworn band shirts n stuff, but in reality, I should just donate them. So of course they'll stay in a box upstairs. 😄
I feel like a " show me your closet photo sesh" needs to happen lol.

Ah. My Virgo self loves spring cleaning, right up my alley.

First of all, if you have clothes you haven't worn in a year+ that do not fit, donate them. Theres also Plato's Closet (place to sell and buy gently used clothes). Plus if its not versatile and trendy why keep it? If you lose weight wouldnt you want to buy a new outfit that is on point to compliment your new figure and also reward yourself for hitting your goal? 🙂

Lol I used to hoard all of my clothes thinking oh one day I will be that size, and even things that were big!

About a year ago I stopped. I think as i started to buy new clothing I realized all that clothes I kept around was taking up space and it can always be replaced! Also being around people who are minimalists made me feel like I carry so much baggage that deep down I don't even really like. Letting go of it all makes me feel better tha. Keeping it around nowadays. I give everything away lol

Just let it go and go shopping! I bargain shop and find the best deals 🙂

Haha, ok *cough you're my mother*

I have 0° Libra moon, right there with Virgo! She has Virgo mars too.

If you're anything like her, you have clothes in various places that "need picking up and going through" yet they are never thrown out ha.

If I haven't worn it in a year, even if it fits, I get rid of it.
Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa. How do you do that? GYPSY! WITCH! lol.

I try... But this optimissim girl.
Hahaha. Cause I'm kinda OCD lol. I hate clutter, including clothes! When I was married I used to do it to my husband too. A friend of mine told me a trick...hang all your hangers backwards and as you wear them and wash them you put them back in the right way. After a certain amount of time, anything still hanging backwards has to go!

Im hiring, how much do you charge? 🙂

Ugh stop making sense! Lol

For you? Free of charge...cause I get off on projects and organizing stuff, lol. Don't even ask me about labeling...my kids think it's a little nutty sometimes. I'm really picky about my pantry! Baskets, clear containers and chalk labels. ‚‚‚‚ it's a curse

I'm ocd foo, which is why I struggle doing this! You see the new closet... Despite the clothes I've yet to get to, ha.

That's a good traits, btw.
