Like 4 days.. Less if my gym routine is super sweaty.

I tried the dry shampoos are they are shit. They are aerosol baby powder and turn your hair white! Just no.

Sometimes I'll just wet & condition my hair but skip on shampoo.

Does this make me a dirty hippie? ๐Ÿ˜›

I have very thick hair and the longest I've gone was 4-5 days.

My friends freak out when I tell them that because they wash their hair every day! They have thin hair so I guess it gets greasy quickly. Their hair dries beautifully though. Me on the other hand, I have a frizzy lion mane lol so I straighten it.

Oh same same ๐Ÿ˜„ .. I wash my hair once in 4 days usually.. (3 days gap). My hair is pinstraight though.

Most of my friends wash it every other day or everyday.. I dont get it lol.

It's been 7 days since I washed my hair ๐Ÿ˜„ hehe.

:o

Love it

Now that's a sign of healthy hair!

Really??
I love how my ponytail looks! It is oily yes, but looks nice.

My mom is liking it too :p

I mean if it doesn't get oily too fast, it's a good sign, I think : )

Shampoos are so harsh with all their chemicals, that the scalp starts to get greaser ...it needs its oils!

Is it thick? If it's thick such ponytail would really look pretty!

I wash my hair twice a week :/ I'm replacing my shampoos now which will allow me to wash it less often

@Fragrance --

did get oily! : D

yes yes, I'm not using shampoo every other time ๐Ÿ™‚ I'll write to you what I use.. I need to google stuff to translate stuff into English etc ๐Ÿ˜„

And when I put coconut milk - I use a mild herbal shampoo...that too diluted in water.

Much to talk about hair with you ๐Ÿ˜„

My hair is thick yes...it was more thick before.. ):

Same same..twice in 8 days.. It's best! Our hair gets naturally oiled up, and nourishes our scalp and hair with our natural oil (: I'm scared of washing it before 3 days. And i always oil my hair the night before..

i used to wash it everyday with shampoo and it was so dry and flyaway. i have naturlaly curly hair.

My hair dresser was the one that told me i was shampooing too often.

When washing your hair you strip your scalp of natural oils causing your skin to react and pump out more oil. The more you wash the more oily hair you will have.

I wash my hair 1xs per week. I rinse daily (sometimes 2xs) and condition my hair every day.

I have pretty curly hair too so it doesn't look quite as 'oily' as straight hair would.

3 days is the longest I've gone. Usually I shampoo every other day. Which is overdoing it. I have terrible OCD regarding this. If I don't wash my hair often (within 1 or 2 days), it'll bother me the entire day. It'll constantly be on my mind. It'll feel dirty. It's completely irrational because my hair doesn't get greasy until like the 4th day. But I don't know how to freaking get myself to break the habit without going insane. I have long, wavy hair that would look much nicer if I washed it less. It's so frustrating. The SLS ingredient in shampoo is bad for you, but I don't know of any good SLS-free shampoo. I'm tired of experimenting different shampoos. I heard good things about baking soda... might try that.

I routinely wash , condition and straighten once a week and my hair is in the best condition it's ever been in .

I'm lucky in that my hair doesn't get greasy , I don't smoke and I never cook anything by frying so it stays fresh too .

I can go a week or so either ironed or natural.

My tools are a shit ton of dry shampoo and oils for the ends when its straightened to keep ends silky and shiny and then leave in conditioner and lots of refills on the spray bottle to freshen up the curls.

I slowly transition from letting my hair down to half up dos and then ponytails over th course of the week cus you know your natural oils make that slicked back ponytail FIYAH.

Cowashing helps give my curls bounce too. I wouldnt do it if I plan on straightening since the moisturizers in a cowash can weigh your hair down and Im a much bigger fan of voluminous hair

Ladies!

How long have you gone without washing your hair?

It depends.

Ordinarily, my hair is very oily ... within 24 hours, or when I awake if I have slept in that time, or if I have sweated in that time-frame - my hair is very oily, and gets hard. It's gross.

BUT - if my hair is colored, the chemical dries my hair so bad that I can go for as long as 5 days before it starts to get dirty. My dry hair sucks up all the oil, and makes the color shine.

If it wasn't such a pain in the ass to color it all the time ... ๐Ÿ˜ข

I watched a video once about a women who stopped washing her hair, like ten years previous, or something and her hair didn't look dirty, at all. She said that she rinses it with hot water, then cold everyday and that your hair will actually improve if you don't wash it.

so, I tried it ... I went like, maybe a tad over 2 weeks before I couldn't take it any longer. It was horrible. Dirty hair stinks too !!!

About every 4 days, I have long thick hair, it doesnr get greasy quickly. I go to the salon every month for an intense deep conditioning treatment, and use an all natural shampoo/conditioner at home.

I color my hair about twice a year too, winter and summer for a change, about to go light again.

A week.
My hair gets too dirty and greasy. It feels like I'm carrying french fry grease with the left over debris from the fries in my hair. If you've ever worked in fast food and worked on fry station you'll know what I'm talking about. You can literally see all this debris on my hair and my head just gets really itchy.

3-4 days.

Day 1 wash day, bam looks too fluffy, day 2 looks better after the oils have silked it out, day 3 a little too much oil, day 4 wash day again.
