The relationship couldn't have been solid if a partner cheated. There must've been some discomfort about some part of the relationship in order for a partner to have made the choice to cheat.
As for if I'd stay together with a cheating man, I'd have to say that it depends on the individual circumstances. Principle-wise, I would end the relationship. But, every situation is different so I'd say case by case.
