Much like many current trends (like extreme contouring), it seems to be inspired by drag queen makeup
Yeah! Its extreme, in drag though I understand because its all over-pronounced for show but for every day? Idk...
I agree w Alicia, natural looking is better.. In my eyes. Because when you can tell its fake it just looks tacky or like you were falling asleep while putting makeup on haha
Posted by CTFUWhat about clown tattooed or clown drawn on eyebrows ?
Aww man just as bad lol

Look at the bright side at least it doesn't make every human look the same. We need a few to look stupid
Lol you make a valid point there.

I went to a Mac counter to try lip sticks on. And this chick put lip liner on me and I could feel her going over my lip line like crazy. And when I looked in the mirror, my tiny lips had turned into giant, rounded lips and I started laughing. Every time I let them put shit on my face, I come out lookin silly as fuck. This is really a trend, huh? I just thought she was retarded.
Thats hilarious!
See like her, shes a makeup artist or the other and is famous for her makeup on IG (and Ill give it to her, her eye makeup is on POINT Γ°ΕΈβΒ₯Γ°ΕΈβΒ₯Γ°ΕΈβΒ₯)... But those lips are so overdrawn! She already has nice lips so I just dont "get" this look on her.
another example where it looks less than on fleek.
It looks like they were drunk when they put their lipstick on.

So true! When someone was mentioning contouring I was like, "that ain't new." and ages ago my drag friends were doing it. The overdrawn lips I've seen them do too.
Hahahahaha funny.. ..ββββββ

Even with the lip liner hack job? #keeper
I don't even know what lip liner is. I'm just a vessel.
Hahahaha! You know when you come to think of it, most guys likely do not notice any of this shit.. (as far as over exaggerated make up goes) Only us females do.. and I do not know why we get bent out of shape about it.. Her make sucks, oh cool, more fellas looking my way then. It should be a good thing for us to see these make up disasters, if we are getting put off does that not tie some sort of jealousy perhaps?
Idk.. I don't wear make up at all.. and likely for good reason, cause it would likely end up looking like dis..

youre somewhat right we shouldn't be hatin but honestly I'd like to understand WHY lol. I guess since I have more to work with I don't get it but even thinner lips are beautiful! I just wish people would embrace the features they do have and stop comparing themselves to IG hoes.
If I saw these chicks IRL I'd wonder if they were drunk when they put their makeup on because it's one thing to pose sexy for 90 pics and choose the best angle and another to be doing everyday things with clown makeup lol
The more subtle overdrawn lips? That's cool do you but there are some who take it to extremessssss lol
Just like plastic surgery, it's ok here and there to a certain extent... Until this happens:
That is way better than above user makeup. And that drag queen is better than anyone on this thread. Crazy image that.

If you're going to over-draw your lips, it's supposed to be on the line RIGHT above where your lips start. Anything further away from that line is a FAIL.Girls are taking tips from drag queens and using them, and it's a big problem. They're not taking tips and altering them to benefit them the right way, they are just taking everything without realizing that drag is an art form and not meant for real life make up.
Here's another thing that really bothers me with certain girls. They have no idea how to contour and they still contour. They see people doing this generic style of contouring on YouTube and they copy every step. First of all, unless you're a professional, I do not recommend you contouring with a powder. It takes a long time to master contouring with a powder. It can look too intense, it can be very hard to blend out and it looks even worst once you apply blush on top of it and then highlight your cheekbones. It looks like someone slapped you on both sides of the face with a disco ball and it's not a cute look. Buy the foundation that you use in 2-3 shades darker then your actual skin tone, contour with the liquid foundation because it's so easy to blend out with a sponge or a beauty blender, and you get an effortless, natural, beautiful contour.
Second of all, contouring is meant to improve your facial features and give you flattering results. It's meant to decrease features you do not like, and bring features you like forward. No two people (unless they have very similar facial features) should be contouring the SAME way. If you do not have a big forehead, there is NO reason for you to be contouring your forehead - making it look even smaller than it is. If you have a long nose, there is no reason for you to contour all the way down your nose, making it look longer and more prominent. If you have a thick nose, you SHOULD be contouring all the way down the sides and you SHOULD highlight the bridge to make it look like you have a bridge. If you have a prominent chin, you should not be highlighting your chin and then contouring under your jaw. If you do not have a prominent chin, then you should be taking these steps to give you better bone structure. If you have a very strong jaw and very strong bone structure, then your contouring should be very light and you need to skip certain steps unless you want very aggressive facial features.
If you're going to contour, analyze your facial features and take the necessary steps to get the most flattering results. Also, calm down with the over-drawn eyebrows and these intense, horrific cheekbone highlighters. A highlight is supposed to look natural like when the sun hits your face, it's not supposed to look like you put glitter on your cheekbones.
Posted some pics so I can see what you are talking about. Please. But I agree I watched

SMH *revokes your Venusian card*
I think the problem with a lot of these overdrawn lips is the lack of blending. As with most other make-up applications, the trick is to blend and soften out the edges so the lines don't appear harsh and noticeably drawn on.

Why damn it?
This is what I see:
Despite altruistically understanding why (my guilty pleasure afterall is a 20pc of chicken mcnuggets, maybe these ladies' guilty pleasure is having DSL lookin lips) I still have to ask "Why?"
