Help needed: Scorpio female for male Virgo

So, Virgos are always going to be non-verbal about emotions? He went back to ghosting, but I know he's being critical of himself right now about work. Giving him space. I talk to everyone at work. (Introverted personal, extroverted overachiever work life) I know how serious he is when he's working/busy. He told me whats going on right now, but with lack of emotions. "I'm not affected emotionally at all."
All lies! I feel like if I stay too intense without verbal or physical consent I will just be overbearing. How do you reaffirm you still very much like someone, and care about them with out coming off as a desperate creep? He does not like compliments, or pretends he doesn't. Doesn't acknowledge them either. (Like me telling him I like how he's always serious)
This wouldn't feel so hard if we still saw each other, different project so no phone conversations either. Can't fully read him by writing. I'm high-risk so I won't be going in office, even when he tells me the weeks he's going in. Is giving him space coming off as wishy-washy? Or replying back to guys and girls I'm not flirting with in group chats?
Definitely not interested in anyone else, if I was I wouldn't of told him I'm into him. Kind of overly loyal. Why can't he just say I like you too? Or I'm not interested?

Not really interested in looking for someone either. Pretty good with just being with myself, but if could be my Sag energy. But my Scorpio energy finds challenge exciting. That and general sexual nature, unexperience virgin Virgo seems exciting? So I have a few times just been like, forget about it. But when he writes me, then I'm like I'm still crazy about him. F* me. You're not looking and then find amazing people, that have been around all along. And what is with the Virgo stare? Most people find me intimidating and will look away.

Be consistent with your attention. If you go too hard and fast too soon, yes you will spook him. He will pump the breaks unless he is a high spirited Virgo. He doesn't sound like one of those to me.

Funny thing is he isn't tmi about anything too personal. He's very Introverted, but he's smart, practical, thinks things through. Always tells me way too much though, even has me tell our colleagues things because he'd rather not. (Unless that's a ploy) Or maybe doesn't want to acknowledge follow-up questions? I don't, I say what he wants said and that it. And I dig, can't hide emotions forever. Nobody at work knows anything about him except what he wants. He's very good at not acknowledging peoples questions. Maybe more of a mystery you want to get to the bottom of? I know a lot, but still want to know more. 🤷♀️ Maybe Virgos just have a Scorpio magnet?

Been there done that. No Gemini's. I think control over emotions, being well put together. Practical is better than head in the clouds. Having goals, and being able to focus on them. Honesty, loyalty, knowing you can trust someone. Someone that can think on the same level as you, but still holds their own opinions. Too many people can be influenced easily. Striving for perfection. Appreciate someone who wants to master their skills.🤷♀️

Could make this longer... but is this a hopeless situation? Did I already scare him off entirely? Its hard, being attracted to both his personality and intelligence, he's not bad on the eyes either.
