How old are they? talk to them about their hobbies and if there’s something they’d like to pursue even if it’s part-time but if they’re like sick maybe have them look into disability while they figure it out. If they just don’t want to work I’d have a discussion about household contribution. Why do you not want them to retire? Is it a money thing or is it a you want them to get out of the house?
