Advice about a Virgo ex?

Started hanging out with a Virgo ex recently and know he’s going to be doing the whole analytical Virgo thing. We’ve spent a lot of time together the past few weeks. And when I was there yesterday he wanted me to take the night off from work and stay over and make s’mores (cute) lol. And then wanted to see me again later that night. And the romantic Taurus in me wants to just jump back into where we left off. However I know that it took a lot Of thinking to get him to this point (he was the one who had ended the relationship previously) and I want to know my best approach to this. He’s been texting me daily. But not with the mushy things we had previously. And I know that’s not really how Virgos work. Should I give him the space when easing back into this? I don’t want to overwhelm him with my feelings here

I also know I can be prepared for some hot and cold from him. And want to know how to combat that
