Dy, for the love of God, don't call out God's name and promote evolution in the same post. Apparently, you don't know God, nor do you care to when you're going around promoting the evolution theory. You don't love God so why ask everyone else? If you want to show God love than why are you lacking faith in him by saying he didn't create us perfect, instead we were part of some fluke called the evolutionary process? It is impossible to please God without faith.

Oh wait..."Hypocrites", Jesus said. "You hypocrites!"

Well It is about trust for me...what I've been trying to say all along while, yes expressing my opinion, is to each his own. So be it. No amount of 'logic' will persuade my faith. I will not pretend to be able to persuade someone else from their thinking. I DO trust in God. Yes science most certainly has a huge valid place here..no dispute.

And please...do not color me with the paint on someone elses brush. You will not find me smacking anyone around for anything they believe OR don't. Free will IS free will, mine and yours alike. SO I let it be. To bash someone else's thinking process because it's not in line with mine (unless it is harmfull to someone)_ is useless and we are here to talk and discuss ideas, and as individuals it's all fine by me. This is why this subject is not discussed by a lot of people. It doesn't stay civil. Personally Dy, if my mechanic says my car is making noise caused by demons, I'm definitely finding another mechanic. Just because I beleive in God doesn't mean I don't adhere to any scientific laws. One does not eradicate the other.

sheeh, a guy goes away for a while, and you guys melt like a candle in a microwave!! lol 😛 hehehehehehe....I don't even know where to start, so I'll just jump in anywhere. Jwalker, with the whole being born only to die bit, I feel as though that is what we PHYSICALLY do, but our desires, aspriations, and our spirit come into play as well; they are parts of the human spirit I feel that need nourished, and I feel deeply in need of nourishment in these areas but to simply believe in something that results in nothing but more questions seems so catch 22, and like you're just chasing your own tail; where does it stop, and the peace begin? I wonder these things all the time, but I feel that we are (even if this is a little protestant/Puritanical) that we are cheifly responsible for ourselves, and no greater gift could be bestowed upon us; the ability to think feel, and aspire to the heights of the minds infinite skies......That is the best part of this life for me so far, and I believe in a more spiritual type of cycle, we live, we die, we're reborn, it's simplistic, but it has an end to it, and it can be applied instead having virtually no meaning. Free will is a powerful gift, and there are those who would use it negatively and positively but ultimately J, it falls on us what we want to do, and where we want to go, that is why we can think independently of typical mass; it's said that the ego is always in coflict with the group dynamic, and I believe it terra-firma.....people just fear being alone; but when you've defeated/transformed that fear into a strength, what need of you of false/unsubstantiated faiths, and ideals? I suppose I have just realized some heavy self-truth, but it doesn't mean that Religion dosen't have it's merrits for the masses.

And another article VE..did you hear about Virginia Tech?

Wow. There are people out there who really understand. Cal Thomas is one. True intelligence and discernment gets him to the truth and how to tell us. If you notice, all he was doing was thinking, logically! this guy hit the nail on the head!!

thanks for the philosophy lesson BigD lol

Yeah, though I had RC about the Virginia Tech thing....I'm actually pretty pissed off about it too; I hate when weak-willed people take out their personal frustrations on others; I don't know what triggered him, but regardless it was wrong, and an assinine move....it's all just bull in my opinion....I don't really even want to entertain that for the assinity of it all; it served no final purpose other than imposing his bs in general onto a community of people....REGARDLESS of which faith/religion I am I say it's wrong to end a life regardless of the circumstances; the ends don't justify the means....
