Not loud and obnoxious. Other fire signs annoy me. I listen. Lots of patience. Super organized. Clean, both personally and personal space. I don't complain or nit-pick. Sometime blunt but empathetic and I watch what I say around people. Love puns. Can take lots of criticism. Parents were Virgo and Libra. On time. Own a few businesses (info why I included that later) and I work with her at a job.
From what I know of her:
Usually 10-15 minutes late everywhere. Loves puns. Doesn't complain or nit-pick. Only seen her dressed up for a party, but nothing else. Blunt. Lots of interests and life style goals that are similar to me.
Worked with her at my job for 4 months. Knew she was in the dating field, because she mentioned it and flirted with me, playfully asking if I was jealous. To which I responded, you wish.
Observed, flirted more, and made her laugh. Asked her out after knowing her for 3 months to go kayaking. Made a special dietary restricted picnic for her. Spent 4 hours on the water. Conversation flowed and we have a TON in common, with some differences. Lots of laughter, plus wonderful, thoughtful silence inbetween. 1 hour picnic. Deeper conversation happened. Went home. I decided to go to the movies and left the option open for her. She changes her plans to come with me. 12 hours later, successful 1st date. She texts me later on, thanking me for a wonderful timely and that she would sleep well.
3 days later, I invite her to a second date to go do a wine a design. (She like wine and is an artist). She says yes but wants to do it at her place because she has all the materials. I offer to cook dinner for her. She declines and wants to cook for me, also including a dietary restriction of mine. We setup the date.
I meet her at her place and help cook dinner. I'm dressed up-ish and she isn't at all because she was late from the gym. Eat, laugh, chat, and drink wine. We start designing. Good silence, questions, laughter. She starts to become tired. We start to wrap up.
Then says she wants to only be friends.
Catches me way off-guard. I ask for space, she understands stands and grants me it. I ignore her at work during this time, about 3 weeks. I decide that I am able to be her friend, only because I work with her and I can bring more value into her life, instead of not being there at all. I've made it clear that I'm ready to move forward with that. I still have feelings for her, yet have not made these clear to her.
A few things to note:
- Never texted or contacted more than needed to as I value personal space.
-She called me timid pre-dates where I disagreed and told her I was observing rhe work environment and her when I started working.
-We have a mutual close friend who I dated once many years ago and we are friends and chat.
-She contacts me more recently asking my help through my business for a family member. (Only time she has ever contacted me first besides after 1st date).
-I've contacted her/approached her almost every time. At work she has done so infrequently.
-I catch her observing and making eye contact with me an awful lot. Before dates and well after her wanting to be friends.
-Age difference is 4 years. I'm 30, she is 26.
-Recently, I've been talking with her so I can make sure we are on the same page moving forward and to establish boundaries, but despite her agreeing and understanding, she seems reluctant.
-I am comfortable and open with my emotions.
