Is being cold and dismissive the answer as i know that it's a natural to us Virgos and when picked on (comes easily) shine and fight back harshly to the amazement of the 'bully'. Seems like this one particular sign pisses me off the most, so i ask you fellow Virgos of your battles with this sign.

YES!! you nailed it. i am a gemini and have experienced the "cold and dismissive" side of several Virgo men. it's frustrating as hell and hurtful. and while I don't think Virgo men do this to just be malicious, it comes across that way to most of us who are the target of their attitudes/comments. personally, i think to the more mature Virgo man, it's more of a natural defense mechanism. to the less developed one, i think some are seriously just jaded people.

the underlying premise that I've found with Virgo men is that they hate dealing with any emotions/emotional scenes. i think trying to get a virgo man to be at ease discussing emotions or openly acknowledging a young lady's emotional pain is akin to expecting my German Shepherds trying to fly without wings. Virgo's just aren't designed to deal "openly" with "emotions" and "feelings." THIS is NOT saying that they are not emotional and don't feel....They do. Big Time. Inside.

its so easy to break down a gemini its not even funny, when you ignore them it brings that fakeness go back to earth for the whole world to see, then you see the virgo walk around like a smooth criminal with the sence of "i told you so, that the facsade is all fake and weak". i have broken down many of them in my time, its pretty funny because every time i come close to one they always give that body language that spells "intimidated, let me get cool with him so he wont break me down". A virgo's mercurial capabilities are the only ones aside from gemini that camentally break down anyone with ease. geminis just act like they cant be defeated and the weak minded people actually fall for it but not a virgo

if you want to piss them off, tell them "no one likes you". but ignoring them is def the best way to show how fake they are. they try really hard to look smart but theyre not. theyre like parrots repeating what someone said 5 minutes earlier

No what pisses us off are people as yourself who lump EVERYONE into the same little box. I expressed my personal experiences with a couple of Virgo Men. And stated FTR that a lot of this depends upon the maturity of that individual. Same exact thing can be said about ANY sign or gender.

To imply that all GEMS are fake is simply demonstrating YOUR lack of maturity. I for one had to grow up fast living with an abusive alcoholic father. Despite that fact, I would stick my neck out for any one of my friends/family; even at that point of knowing that in doing so, I might risk getting hurt in the end.

I am able to sit down with anyone and have the fortitude to express my feelings/perceptions etc. in a very logical and forthright manner. And in most occasions, I only do this WHEN asked. I do not gossip nor do I enjoy that kind of BS. I do, however, tell people I care about how much I appreciate and respect them for who they are and how they've helped me become the individual I am.

If you think the manner I have acted over the course of my life is FAKE, then you don't know what the word actually means. Try looking in the mirror and perhaps you can figure it out.

There is a parent & child nature to a Virgo/Gemini relationship with the Virgo as the former and the Gem as the latter. I find gems to have a bratty & immature quality to them that's sometimes a bit too much for me to handle because I don't like to feel as if I'm babysitting an adult.

Generally, when a Virgo and Gemini come together, you can be sure that there will almost always be an argument or debate (which is usually started by the Gemini) and when the Gem realizes that the Virgo can debate as long and as hard as them, they become infuriated and will try and argue or debate the Virgo until the break o' dawn.

Famous astrologer Linda Goodman put the Virgo/Gemini debate/argument best:

"When argument does arise between the two, there is a lot to be said about Virgo??s diffidence. There is an almost touching and attractive modesty that the Virgo has that allows them to accept Gemini??s victory in winning the initial battle with their silver tongued manipulation of words. Virgo knows, full well, that even if the success sounds as truthful as it should be, there is room for error and intimation. Gemini has a certain art of being able to use words to manipulate any situation in their favor. The practical and sensible mind of the Virgin will weed through it all and often come up from behind, winning the war. Reality can not be twisted. It is a beaten path that is concrete and Virgo will prove it to Gemini in the long run. Normally Gemini likes to win every battle, but there is something about the charming and polite Virgo that causes the Gemini to calm their nature and settle down. The need to win isn't so important to the normally high strung Gemini"

Personally, the above has always been my experiences with Gems. The ones I met were calculating and just downright mean, the biggest bullies around and although they talked much, I could only liken them to a hot air balloon. I don't know what it is about the Virgo but when we come around a Gem, it's like they get crazy on us (i.e. like the way Gemini Joan Rivers got crazy on Virgo Annie Duke on a season of the "Apprentice"). It's almost as if they refuse to lose to us and will stop at nothing to win. When it gets to this point, I step off because it's not worth the headache. This usually leaves the Gem dazed and confused because they expect me to stay and argue and I won't. I try to get along with them but for some reason, we usually just end up irritating eachother. I guess you can blame it on too much mercury.

Interesting replies for a rare thread, thx ppl! But if blanking a gemini ticks them off, would you still ignore the ranting that follows. Would seem that a person would appear foolish not answering back to their verbal digs/abuse etc.

Who cares how it appears. When you choose to argue with someone they dont hear anything you are saying anyways. When you dont argue with them their words that they are trying to spew at you only comes back to them. And since Gems can get really nasty, they usually feel bad after wards for what theyve said.

Wow pinpoint accuracy, couldn't describe it better myself. That's EXACTLY what i encounter/experience with the majority of them. Which makes it difficult hence why i started this thread. Often i would think you teach ppl how you want to be treated, but this hasn't worked well for me, again this is the ONLY zodiac sign. Not that i am prince charming rather i have a mouth like acid that has fought too many gems with success, but it's getting so so childish.....its embarrassing. However the useful insight from fellow virgos/gems have given me 'tools' that may have to be put into action.

I keep my distance from gems now. I find it's the best way to keep from constantly arguing with them over something that I'm right about. lol.

Perfect. Linda Goodman is the goddess of astrology. lol. Geminis mirror Cancer in astrology so it makes sense they are very sensitive, just approached at a different angle. Makes complete sense. And earth signs usually finish last but win.
Also interesting:
http://altairastrology.wordpress.com/2008/08/12/nodes-in-exaltation/<BR> This is not at all surprising if you consider how closely Mercury is bound with Dragon or Serpent imagry. In alchemical practice there are two Mercuries, one has wings the other is wingless. The first is found in Gemini, an air sign. The second is found in Virgo, an earth sign. And their tails are in Sagittarius and Pisces. One marks the dry path the other the wet.

Linda is amazing.

True of the earth signs coming out last but always winning. We are usually considered the 'dark horses' but we always get to where we need to be. We are solid, steady and reliable and would rather take the long road and do it right than to have a quick and fast result.
