The 17-minute acid-rock epic song "In-a-Gadda-da-Vida" was written by Virgo Doug Ingle (born 9 September 1945) for his band Iron Butterfly in which he sang and played keyboards. This is one of my very favourite songs: I love Iron Butterfly and as a Virgo I am proud of this song but I do realise that it is a song that people either love or hate. So as a fellow Virgo do you love it or hate it and why? I love it for its hypnotic quality, the intensity of its vocals, the variety of its musical interludes and the fact that it was a groundbreaking song. I still love and listen to this song.
