knit-picking

Hi,
Wondered what you think the appropriate response should be to Mr. V's knit-picking?

Rephrased: What is YOUR response, usually? For instance, my mother and my sister are Virgos and with Mom, I just tell her not to worry about it. My sister is not very knit-picky at all. Is there something wrong with her— 🙂 If you are a Virgo, are you knit picky? and if so, what do you expect from your pickee when you pick away?

It depends. In my experience there is little can be done. They can't help themselves. Either its something you can live with or its something you can't...but it definitley isn't going to change.

My mom really irritates me to pieces. She's really a world class picker. Seems as though she makes herself very unhappy by it. Daddy use to try to appease her every pick.

He died fairly young.

I just won't give in to it. As you say, she can't stop and she just goes on and I do whatever I wish. I've tried humoring her. It works for some things. But it never matters, unless you do things exactly as she thinks they should be done, she feels as though you don't care about HER at all. It's an ugly cycle. Seems to be really personal. Controlling.

my gemini mother is the same; yes, quite controling indeed; you've just got to live your life as it is yours to do what you wish with in my opinion. I personally have never been the type to pick at something unless I cared; I have to care deeply about the person to want to stick around to do that; consider it a gift? she stuck on you and wants you to be the best you can be? I know it's cheesy, but it's a flash light for a dark cave, whatcha gonna do?! lol
