Virgos are quite nice to be around when they have a self-esteem. It's so annoying to be around someone who does things for other people just to get some sort of validation.

The thing is, Virgos look like they always have self esteem. Even when they are collapsing inside, they keep their posture. I was always amazed by that capability cause I was never able to hide anything nor have a happy face when I was crying inside. Amazing inner control (until they collapse for real and fall into depression).

Regarding your second sentence, I observed that behaviour and couldn't connect those petty characteristics with some people who I valued, so after initial accusations, I thought about it and put it down to the fact that maybe they choose their own battles and don't want to have their inner peace disturbed by insignificant people. That can sometimes seem like looking for validation, but in reality, they are just not bothered to invest any stronger emotion and try to keep the situation and feelings at surface level. I like, you like, we smile, lalala...

Either that, or they are just jerks.

But I like to think I don't do company with jerks, so...

Your first paragraph is so accurate for me... It's something i really hate and i wish i wasn't like that. Because the collapse hits so hard and is incredibly painful, and something i tend to experience alone in silence. I really wish i could express my emotions and not just hide.

I really wish that wall between you and the world could soften a bit. For your own happiness, your inner contentment.

I know how you feel; my boyfriend is exactly the same, we talked about it many times. He suffered depression after he managed to keep everyone elses head above the water in times of big tragedy for his family. After he carried them across the raging water and brought them to safety, he collapsed royally.

Even though he understands the problem, I realize he won't ever change. He won't act on a problem, he will try to solve it on his own, no matter how painful it is.

It's how he is. He feels bad (what he thinks is) burdening other people with anything.

I am so different. I don't think I burden someone I trust with something that bothers me. I fight, even in the most stupid way of just letting the words (in that way feelings, too) out of my system.

It's a simple venting system. The steam has to go out of the machine, otherwise it will break. Same with people.

It is important to be gentle to yourself and listen to your body and soul when it's telling you that something hurts. It means looking after yourself.

I hope you will be more open as time passes, you will see how liberating it is (though strange and unnatural it may feel in the beginning).

My first love was a Virgo man and he was exactly like how you described. He didn't act/seem depressed nor sad and he always claimed he just wants to help everyone but when something is wrong (emotionally/mentally), which is totally normal, there comes a certain point where you have to take accountability for yourSELF to be better. Just like every other sign, Virgos have a dark side too.. Which only seems to show when they start to feel inadequate for whatever reason. It took me a while to see that because they're good at portraying perfect but I felt like I was borderline enabling him to stay emotionally unhealthy because I "saw the good in him" and "that's just how he is". It's unfair to excuse negative behavior because you love someone. Even Virgos falter, too. They're human.

You are absolutely right. That's why I had and still have arguments with my Virgo.

They are quite self absorbed, and try to solve problems on their own, which often leads to becoming self righteous, believing in the impeccability and accuracy of their decisions. That, of course, is often wrong, so it is hard to explain to them (even with all the right reasons and kindness in the voice) that they weren't right.

They can also be very childish and expect you to understand when they are being nice to others in a way that is not really nice to watch (all smiley and helpful to other...girls 🙂

But because they are so "not-in-your-face', it's hard to quarell with them, and I agree, they get away with many things just because they are gentle and seem like they just want peace and love 🙂

However, what I wanted to say through other posts is, that they have such a praiseworthy side; the loyalty and persistence of a Virgo can't be compared to any other sign. And I happen to love those qualities in a person, so I put up with other, less praisable traits.

I've dated a handful of Virgo men and I'm really close with one to this day and have been for years. He isn't like this at all so there's hope for everyone lol. It is, isnt'it?

I have 2 Virgo friends from university, both with completely different backgrounds, and I can say they are the best people I ever met. Though I moved back to my hometown, and haven't seen them for ages, our communication is absolutely out of this world. I have friends from childhood, I made friends with people after the university, but with these two it is just different. We get each other, important decisions get made and the fog clears after conversation with them. It is just so different from my relationship with other signs.
