Memory Loss

I remember reading somewhere, that statistically, Virgo's have poor memories, and are prone to dementia, compared to other signs. I've been looking at my husband with this in mind, and some of my Virgo friends, and it seems that they don't remember as much as others. One friend of mine thinks she's 45, when she was born in 1959, she will actually be 47 this Sept.

I just take it to be that because they have so much in thier heads all the time, that it's like an overload. With my husband, I've noticed that he remembers history, facts and figures . . it's just stuff that seems unimportant that he doesn't remember clearly.

So, is it just selective? Keep what's relevant and toss out trivia?

I was curious if any Virgo's in here have ever had someone tell them that they are forgetful a lot.

That's basically it... "I have so much in my head all the time." I am bad with time, bad with what day it is often... It's common for days to go by, and I lose track of what day of the week it is, LOL...

I've always been bad about remembering birthdays. My little bro has 4 kids and I can't remember a single birthday without looking at my address book where I keep that info. And even then, I've missed some and had to send a B'lated B'day card = (

I have so much on my mind usually, that I have to make notes for myself about what chores I need to do today. And about what I need to buy at the store... otherwise, I get there and find I have totally forgotten what I came for... then sometime later, it will pop into my head and I'll be like D'OH! And have to drive back to get the item... LOL. I HAVE to make notes...

But what's weird is... the way my mind works in certain ways. I can drive someplace new... then 10 years can go by, and I can still find my way back to that spot. Even if I was only there ONCE, years and years ago... it's really weird. That's not foolproof, but generally I DO remember directions.

Maybe it's my short term memmory that's faulty, but the long term that's good? But that doesn't answer why I have so much trouble remembering dates for birthdays etc... oh well.

I tried to find the article, but, everywhere I looked . . it said the opposite. That Virgo's have a good memory. But, I know I read this somewhere. I'm all over the net, so, it's hard to tell where I found it.

Ferghus, my V-man is a lot like you . . birthdates? Forget it, it's gone out of his memory . . yet, like you said, he remembers every highway he's ever driven down. Of course, that's not fair, really, because he's a truck driver. What a sad situation that would be if a truck driver can't remember routes . . lol

"Maybe one reason VirGuy likes his routine is because we are absent-minded" OMG, I never thought about that before. You could be so right on that. To my Virgo, everything he does, nearly, is some sort of habit, or routine.

Wow, you learn something new everyday. If I find that article, I'll let you know.

What happens when you forget where you put your "Do Not Forget" list?

I can see it now, the whole house full of sticky notes everywhere. My hubby's house would probably look like that . . . lol

Branh, I have photographic memory as well...I remember all the way back when I was a TODDLER, FRAME BY FRAME RUNNING THROUGH THE HOUSE, WATCHING MY MOTHER HOLD ME, AND LOOK DOWN AT ME....I miss her....
