Not sure if he likes me?!

It seems like I am doomed to fall for Virgos. I am a Scorpio female. This Virgo is older than me with 14 years... I am 30 he is 44. He is a lot of what I want in a man but took me a long time to realize that, mainly because he did a very bad job approaching me in the beginning. We have a mutual friend who introduced us to each other and the Virgo guy was a bit too assertive in the beginning and I turned him down many times. He was also very mean and teasing me a lot. But after his bday this year where I was invited I was able to observe him around his friends and I totally changed my opinion about him... I realized that he is a great guy!
So I let him know that I don’t want to fight with him anymore and I want to be close friends. We have been talking a lot since. This week we went out every day. Omg omg... he is such a good guy. Don’t get me wrong, he still criticizes me every now and then but I found this adorable.
So I wonder if he likes me or not? He texts me every day as I do to. He wants to hangout. I can tell he listens to everything I say. I feel like he likes me but he never asked me out... should I ask him out?
