The Rising Sign

I was wondering that how much does your rising sign effects your life...?
Is it good to have compatible sun & rising signs for balance in life... —
Like imagine a leo with a libra or a cancer rising sign...or a virgo with a leo rising sign...any ideas??

It's your outer persona; the YOU that you show to the world. I don't think it's necessarily good to have compatibility in this department; makes one mentally lazy, and dogmatic.

You tend to be the same both inside, and out, so if you are double earth, (earth sun, and rising) you may be extremely reserved, and well a little bland....I have Capricorn rising, and Virgo sun, and I'm usually pretty exuberant....Never mind, just go with what you think. I should stay away from the 'I' pronoun; I'm usually the subject of contradiction on DXP for it.
