True enough, thank you.

Actually you ask the question because you yourself would not want all those people around you but he will see that different. No matter how you choose to approach it, it is still a sympathetic gesture.
+1
Wow what a horrible tragedy hes going thru! Give your condolences and let him know you're there for him..I think thats really all you can do right now til hes been able to process all that has happened..most likely right now hes in shock.
He will open up when he's comfortable and when he's ready.
Really?
And how, exactly, do you know that a person you've never met will ever open up to anybody?
Or .... were you just saying that to just have something to say.
Superficial surface bullshit ... just to have something to say that sounds like it's deep, but really isn't.
And not just you Mel, rather every person who answers another with surface bullshit, deluding themselves into thinking their deep.
Here's what can actually be gleaned from her post ... she claims to have a childhood friend, in that she is clueless on how to approach, and fears that she will become a part of the bunch of insignificants that don't mean shit to him.
When the math is calculated, what is found is .... she wants to "appear" to be more than she is.
::: shakes head :::
Which means she doesn't want to be sincere at all .... because sincere is just her as this "friend". If she has to plan, has to manuever, has to calculate HOW to appear sincere .. then she isn't.

Evening,
A friend from childhood had a horrific tragedy occur the other night. We're not as close as we were as children, but still occasionally meet up and enjoy each others company.
As of this week, a very publicized tragedy occurred in his family.. and he lost both of his parents (murder-suicide).
Everyone is giving condolences and rushing towards him. I don't want to smother him, and want to be there for him in whatever way that would best aid him. But I'm at a loss with how to approach this as a friend and not as a sympathetic gesture.
This may not apply specifically to Virgos.. but I thought I'd give it a shot here.
He's a Virgo Sun, Aquarius Moon.
