I know a few Virgos and instead of lying they just don't say anything from what I experienced. Virgos I know can't stand liars, and yes they do call them out.

A Libra was telling a fabricated story (yes, she lies), and lies a lot for whatever reason. The Virgo called her out with a straight face, and said you're lying, and I don't believe that story.

The Libra chick just looked at her and I just started laughing (it was like a nervous laugh). It was such an awkward moment.

This needs to be nuanced.

I say what I mean, mean what I say and there's no contradiction between my words and actions. If you present me a situation, I will tell you exactly how I perceive it. It's not about being right or wrong for me but being truthful in my appraisal of it. I want to share my perspective as clear as possible. I KNOW I could be entirely wrong but there's always something to be gained from contradicting opinions regardless.

However...Virgo is also the sign of service. Therefore they will lie if they think that will ...help the person cope better. Or if we get drained through that convo.

This is a scenario that tends to happen to us a lot:

X: So this thing happened today...

Virgo: Well I see it as this:

X: You're wrong. It's like this..

Virgo: Ok, I was just sharing how I see it.

X: You always think you're right

Virgo: No it's not about that.

....from that point on the other person becomes riled up and emotionally biased (most of the times. when it doesn't, i will keep at it because i know i am not inflicting any emotional injury). So now I know there aren't any more logical points to be made because they would not be welcome and in the end since I don't aim to be right or win this discussion...I will lie and go "sure, i think you were right all along. my bad". I mean that's what they want to hear so I'm happy to oblige. The closer you are to me though, the more I feel I would do you a disadvantage to go on that path so closest people to me...I will keep at it for a longer time because I owe them that. But if it falls along the same lines..yeah, I will lie.

Virgos also are pretty avoidant of open conflict so they are liable to talk in circles if they feel being blunt will create a conflict. They'll try to find a tactful approach or another angle to bring it up. If annoys the other person so a simple solution there is to stop us mid babbling and just ask Yes/No question. I don't lie on those.

On the other hand, I don't do white lies as much as others. A friend won't have to ask me if something is stuck in their teeth because I will bring that up the moment I spot it. I don't want people embarassing themselves because they were unaware of that piece of info.

...Off the top of my head this is what I usually perceive with Virgos and lying.

The silence is worse than hearing a lie sometimes. Lol

In my experience with Virgos it's more like this:

X: So this thing happened today-

Virgo: Oh, let me explain back to you the situation you are sharing because you don't understand what it was you experienced but I do even though I wasn't neither present nor do I know any of the actors involved nor have you finished explaining the circumstances fully (or even your sentence) but I can safely assume you didn't take this, this, or this into account which is why you are wrong in your perception of said event.

X: You're wrong... all those things were considered and I was just about to explain them, but you didn't let me fini-

Virgo: Ok, I was just sharing how I see it. It's not a right or wrong thing. Not everything has to be about who is right or wrong.

X: YOU JUST TOLD ME I WAS WRONG AND PROCEEDED TO EXPLAIN TO ME WHY I AM WRONG.

Virgo: No it's not about that.

Very dramatic visual here.

Are you a Scorpio?
