A Virgo Sun with a Sagittarius Moon combines practicality and adventure. It creates a personality that is detail-oriented yet eager for new experiences, often balancing analytical skills with a love of exploration. This blend can lead to a unique approach to life that challenges typical Virgo traits. Such individuals are curious, adaptable, and seek meaningful growth.
Well, I have an earth and water combo AND a fiery venus if that counts. I have a lot of leo influence in general. But yeah, I don't feel like a typical virgo most of the day, and in certain situations, I can have probably behave differently than what a "typical" virgo would behave like.
I just feel like my attitude is anything but practical when I get upset. Maybe thats the fire side? I also know that I am a dreamer and very passionate about certain things to the point of being dogmatic. I am also emotional so....just got into astrology and was curious!!

Hey, you just described me! lol Well, my attitude is still pretty practical, but I'm super emotional. I can be really eccentric and out there, and I often think it's the leo in me or the hints of scorpio in me.
Can you post your whole chart? I'd love to see it. If you don't know how to do that, you can check out cafeastrology.com to get it π

Here it is!!! Yea im a little lost lol
I have a leo moon π I feel like the typical virgo except when i'm mad.....then the leo shows itself lol.....its like a whole other person takes over til I've calm down and analyze what I've done or said and try and rectify the situation ...depending on what happen and why I was so mad to begin with. I use to think maybe my moon was wrong...cause I've never felt leoish but the more I look over past stuff..I can see it :/
Yea I didnt realize im a scorpio ascendant either....this stuff is really interesting lol not just a virgo i guess
Astrology is awesome when you are first learning about it...can you post your chart?
Zd, you da man! A cute little 24 yr-old male me, lol! (Virg sun, Sag moon)
I think what Zd means, folks, when he says he doesn't always feel like a typical Virgo is that certainly many Virgoan traits apply but others simply don't, and he feels a bit "displaced" at times or in particular scenarios. Many Virgos (depending on their charts, of course) lean toward aloofness, distance, emotional suppression, bookwormism vs. adventurism, consistency and routine vs. variation and novelty, etc. Many can come off as sticks in the mud, starchy, unexpressive. Some will argue that Virgos are mechanical in their emotional expressions, that they simply don't "emote" very well at all with the "outside world," or that they don't open up or let loose enough.
Virgs with fire at their core are quite a different story indeed. Everything I just described above we ARE . . . or at least we appear to be . . . until the chains get to rattlin'. π Our "cool to the touch," muted exteriors belie some rather ardent passions (and ideas . . . and opinions!) lurking within and make for a rather stoicβif not beguilingβfaceplate that hides a volcano deep down just on the verge of spontaneously erupting . . . whether emotionally, verbally, sexually, etc.
The difference between us and other Virgos is that we seem to be more impetuous (emotionally), perhaps more apt to defend ourselves or to debate intellectual theories with a heightened sense of retribution if coarsely contradicted, more apt to respond with a flaming arrow if suppressed in our purposes or when βunjustly?? or unrightfully challenged/hindered. I believe we are more liberated verbally (certainly more verbally liberal) than the average Virgo. In fact, we find it difficult NOT to react, um, βenthusiastically?? . . . when contradicted or humored. (Okay, with death threats and fire-breathing contests, but anyway.) Our less-welcoming Virgo nature cloaks and defines us, but that smoldering fire just underneath the surface that streams innermostly is what drives and conducts us.
(Continued)
I also think that this creates a considerable paradox within the persona, and Virgs with fire moons may find themselves more βat war with themselves?? or housing more complexities than those with gentler placements. The sturdy and immoveable suddenly gives way to the rash and uncontrollable ; conversely, the ardent and dynamic is frustratingly second-guessed and outweighed by the stifled and tempered. There's a real tug-of-war that occurs at our core at times, with both forces equally struggling to prevail; and while this struggle is inherent in the Virgo to start with, I feel it is amplified in the fiery Virgo: fire seeks to break out and to burn with abandon; earth seeks to reign in this impetuosity and keep all its ducks in a (perfectly-aligned) row.
In a word, we're just plain feisty. A nice variation, in my opinion, from the βtypical?? emotionally-repressive, detached, and metallic Virgo. We certainly present the guise if unruffled; but rub us the wrong way, tickle our funny bone, or light our sexual match . . . . and watch the fireworks erupt! π
Zd, have I cut it anywhere close? (LOL)

Virgos with fire moons smack just short of dangerous when they get riled up. π You put the heated, reckless side of their fire moon with the cold, calculating, criminally-deviate side of their Virgo (come on, Virgs, 'fess up!) and it ain't pretty! π
I know a girl with Virgo sun and aries moon. shes similar to what u have described. here..
Im a virgo with aqua moon. Donno how that works though..

Yes. I feel exactly like this. I guess the virgo wants to seem cool and calm but when I get upset...its like the flood gates open. I mean I throw everything on the table. I also have been told andcan see how I come off intimidating and unapproachable at times. Then when I do explode, I analyze it and try to make it better. Yup constantly. I also know I can be very no nonsense and blunt. My emotions do not match a virgos at all when well, my emotions get triggered lol.I do think however I am not one to be the life of the party and prefer one on one deep conversation to that of a crowd. I know too that when I do get riled up its difficult for people to handle it....cuz i have such a cool andcalm exterior. where does the scorpio ascendant play in this?!
Yea you nailed it! almost a pleasure vs prudence civil war lol and at times...well watch out i guess! the emotional detachment described by so many virgos is just not here. i also dream big and have a wild imagination...something i read the sagg moon has

That's your freaky, suspicious, bizarre, and twisted side that no one else knows about either. ROFL! π
It takes everything that Virgo is and hypes it up by about 10 (times) then slam-dunks it onto the pavement and stands there laughing at it. LOL!
Just Google "Scorpio ascendant" or keep checking out Cafe Astrology . . . good site.
LOL! Yea again im just getting into astrology. I do have to say I think the virgo side does impede growth, and the sagg sounds more like me...except when it comes to idk my dresser drawer lol. The constant need to analyze clashes with wild ideals and imagination. it seems like it could be a good balance over time though. maybe just keep the virgo in the workplace

LOL!!
Um, to all my dear (afflicted) Virgo homies who share a Sagittarius/fire moon:
I'd like to think we got the best of both worlds! π(I figure we're all picking ourselves up off the floor after that last post.
Gotta say something to keep our morale in tact, huh?) π
virgo sun leo moon.
ima airy virgo rising aqua mercury in libra and venus in libra im pure logic feelings was always second nature gotta think then feel.
yelling and bitching wont get you no where would it.
Every Virgo is different, since we all have different sign influences spread all over our charts, there is no such thing as a "textbook Virgo". We're all special in our own way.

awwwwwwwww i didnt know you can say nice things lol.
Shut up, I wasnt talking to you
π
The more I read the more I feel I'm "growing" into my moon sign. I like being a virgo because they seem to be very strong, but the Sagittarius is more fun. Where is the balance found? lol cuz a scorpio ascendant seems to be quite frightening lmao
holy crap this is me....minus the winehouse/sheen reference. I do think its a great combo, for one our loyalty is immutable and our passion can be soul piercing. wow thank you so much, and you forgot i forget to return movies on the regular...not a virgo lol so which horoscope do i associate with? or read?
Yes, Charlie Sheen, Amy Winhouse....both had a sag moon.
The virgo keeps my son level headed and logical but he can go too extreme to the left or right sometimes for the sake of "being right".
You guys can debate a topic to death (especially if you have the virgo in merc to compliment it)
Sometimes you can go into "the sky is falling mode" and you become a little whiney and a bit trying on the nerves.
If something doesn't go the way you plan...you can go into "Fuck THIS SHIT" mode...and throw ALL caution into the wind for a moment til you get back on track. Usually leaving a mess to clean up later.
Your temper SUCKS because you blow and, unlike an aries moon, it takes you forever to get over it. it's not really a grudge....but you if you feel unjustified in any way, you'll carry it around with you and bring it up when you can.
Your sense of humor is witty and sarcastic. People either immediately LOVEEEE you or HATEEEEEEEEEE you, there is no in between.
You lose things like your wallet and keys? LMAO
overall though, i think it's a nice set. π
LOL! Well thanks! I know, I think the biggest thing that got me thinking about my moon sign is when it comes to being upset, and also when it comes to my imagination. its like i dont see when im wrong for days, and then im like oh shit, then the virgo kicks in and tries to perfect it. i didnt use to be like that, i usually would just drop someone or something that did me wrong, and not need to analyze it which i guess is the virgo. i like the former so im guessing thats the Sag side
u are hilarious! I laughed my butt off because so much of what you said is incredibly true of me!

Your temper SUCKS because you blow and, unlike an aries moon, it takes you forever to get over it.
I used to loathe hotheaded people when I was young and thought they were the most irrational, immature people on Earth until I got married and discovered that I was one! The Sagittarian came ripping out of me almost immediately, lol! (My upbringing didn't allow for this and that side of me lay dormant.) I never understood βwhat happened?? to my stable, rational, even-keeled nature until I began to understand my fire moon. Fortunately, I'm more evolved in my self-awareness, so I generally see or feel my guilt in a situation immediately and this will start to eat away at me once the ire has subsided until I apologize/make things right . . . which is usually within minutes to hours, depending. π It's for sure that no dust truly settles until I've resolved it within myself or with the other person. (Thank you, Virgo.)

I'd say my sense of humor is extra biting and tinged with veracity due to Sag. My Virgo exterior obscures this and once someone experiences my humor, I'm usually told, βI had no idea you were so funny! I always thought you were so serious.?? And no, there is no in-between. π

So un-Virgo! So Sagittarian!! StringsAttached explained, lol! I have to literally make mental notes if temporarily placing something where it doesn't go or I??ll never find it again. This is EXACTLY WHY i decided to delve into my astrology.....omg its something that needs to be reigned in....so i guess im thankful for the sag just have to balance it with the perfectionist virgo. lol any advice
Great subject, ZD! π
(Virgo talking. π) A little advice for quoting someone else: you might consider adding their name just before the quote so as to limit confusion.
i.e. (StringsAttached) "I've seen myself in Chicken Little . . . "
It won't do anything for your fire moon problems but may help on clarification, lol.

Seriously? By realizing that I am unable to change situations beyond my control and that the only thing I can control is whether or not I learn, change, and grow through difficult times. Something difficult comes your way and riles your anger, impatience, fear, rage, insecurity, etc.? You really only have one of two choices, ultimately: to give in to your childish, immature, over-reactive inclinations and remain short-sighted, arrogant, (dare I say self-righteous?), and immature or to sit your can in a chair, look at the situation productively, and rationalize (Yaaaay! Inner-Virgo finally kicks in!) and choose, rather, to allow the situation to mature and develop you into a more patient, understanding, well-rounded, and mature person. (And dare I say forgiving??)
No matter how slight or trivial the situation is (slow poke in traffic, rude snot at the register) . . . I take even small opportunities to advance as a person by calming down, ADMITTING I'M WRONG!!!, looking at myself to see why I get so angry to begin with (like LIMM11 said), realizing I have unsavory traits that need altering/realizing I can't alter the circumstances anyway (if someone else is being the jerk/something troublesome has occurred), and by accepting that something beneficial can come of it in the long run. Negative/frustrating/unsettling experiences are like obstacle courses. They're gonna make ya or break ya. π And that's really how you have to see it: accept the exercise in personal growth and become a stronger, better person or keep falling and stumbling over the same character flaws over and over and remain "retarded" in your development and forever lacking the qualities that produce quality people.
When I do lose my hat and once I've settled down, I say to myself, βI do not want to be that kind of person. I do not want to be ugly, hateful, angry, irrational, mean-spirited, __________ (fill in the blank),?? and I make a conscious decision to adjust these behaviors so that I can be personally enriched and bettered. (Ever the Virgo trying to one-up on herself! π) This way βno job is too small?? and no opportunity is lost or wasted. If nothing else, in admitting these undesirable traits and staring them in the face, I am at least critically aware of them and can actively work on them rather than excuse them to my detriment. Being ill-tempered and impatient (or irrationally fearful/phobic/worrisome) is not a virtue or a prerogative. It's an injurious flaw that makes a childish idiot out of the owner and keeps him shallow, short-sighted, and under-developed. So take a minute next time you feel like exploding, mouthing off, or throwing a book against the wall. Realize that you're keeping yourself in kindergarten every time you do this, and this can only hurt you in the long run. (Not to mention your relationships.) In fact, it hurts you the most.
Bottom line, you can grow or you can be shallow . . . and you can't grow without adversity. (Kind of like you can't get muscles without resistance and excessive pressure!) See adversity as your weight trainer. If you βlose your grip?? and drop the dumbbells, don't freak. It's gonna happen. Sometimes those suckers get heavy.
Just don't launch them through the gym windows as a result. π
LOL, Ellesque. A bit of sarcasm in my mention of Bill O'Reilly. Hey, we got Charlie Sheen; y'all can have Bill O'Reilly. We gotta be fair about this. π

It's not easssssssyyyyy being a Virgo with a Sag moon.Always wanting to be prestigious, charismatic, fearsome, and assertive -- yet also want to be loyal, kind, and benevolent too, but have a very hard time fulfilling both at the same time.
So cool, calm, and collected, yet also have the drive to lash out at others.
Wanting to be someone's savior, but also want to be recognized for it too.
Content with anything they have, but still yearn for something more.
So hopeful and optimistic, yet can't help but feel the world is falling apart sometimes.
So honest and just, but will be shady and manipulative to gain the leverage and get things your way.
Tries to be fair and open-minded, but is also very egocentric.
Very caring for those they love, but is incapable of empathy.
And despite having an incredible fine-tuned memory you still can't find your car keys.
hey its not easy being a virgo with a leo moon ight thank you lmao.

LOL. Hence my feeling that I'd almost sold my soul when buying a key rack. π
Virgo seems to have some admirable traits...but I like the sag more and more. Its just a nice break from the over analytical and worrisome virgo. I dont like that at all, not to mention the sag's optimism is exciting and almost breathtaking. the funny thing is, when i do "go off" i dont seem like its a big deal but am told by others omg ur nuts lol
Yeah, but you wouldn't be as smooth as you are w/o that Virgo mystique, lol.
Intrigue. Mystery. It's all part of the fun. π
Remember, you will always be a virgo, but you won't be exactly like a "virgo" your entire life. That's the beauty of having different placements in your chart, whether you want to go by that. I get bored of being a virgo too sometimes, but I know that's what I am. Luckily, I have elements of fire and water to also add to the mix.
Well said candeh, I shake my head at people who give their moon sign a life of their own, sort of like it is their alter-ego that takes over them at certain moments lol, most people are heavily uninformed about the way astrology works. They read a few things and then start letting their imaginations create the rest of the story hahah, poor souls π

Just wondering if anyone had an earth and fire combo. I don't always feel like the typical virgo, and I recently read a description on the combination....intersting to say the least! Any thoughts?
