Interesting....look at it in another way, every time you weigh the merits of a proposal and reject it you lose out on an emotional experience. Obviously I don't mean dating idiots and douchebags, just the ones where you overthink the long term prospects of the relationship. The universe is alive and conscious, it's through our physical body and self that it gains new experiences. There is a little bit of the universe in all of us which eventually rejoins the wider consciousness. Everytime we deny an experience, both us and the universe is poorer for it.
...and that humans should have sufficient emotional experience in order to be emotionally rich. That, it's ok to embrace the will of the universe and let go of some fears that withhold the soul from experiencing holistic healing. Letting go and setting your self free is one of the finest thing a man can do so long as he lives in this world of humans before he become ONE again with the universe and it's energy...

Like TMV I don't say it first - Why? I think because I grew up believing that men take those words as pressure when the women says it first.

It's not so much the sign of the 12th house as much as the following aspects:
a) The quality and placement of the owner (lord) of the 12th house
b) Planets placed in the 12th house (venus is the best) and
c) Planets aspecting the 12th house (squares, trines and opposing planets)
This would tell you how good the 12th house is.

Best way to learn if you're really interested is to just read as many charts as you can get your hands on. Learn the relationships between planets and then learn how to interpret it.
The three points I mentioned in relation to the 12th house are the same basic principles that apply in relation to every house to judge their quality. Good luck!
