Virgos, how has the Mercury retrograde affected you?

Mercury has been retrograde in Virgo from August 12 until August 31, and then in Leo until September 5. Mercury is the planet of communication, so this is a period where communication is usually either confused or just totally breaks down.

How has it affected you, if at all?

I can honestly say that, on a romantic level, this has been a very rough period for me!! People that I used to talk to all day, every day have completely disappeared, and I don't know if they just got busy or if they lost interest, so it's been a depressing several weeks. Especially since my birthday was during this period and many of the people I care about didn't even acknowledge it.

In addition, work has sucked, and finances have sucked worse. I'm self employed, and money has been WAY down, in spite of me working a lot harder and longer hours than usual.

This is my first time paying attention to a retrograde (I'd never heard of it until reading about it here), so I'm VERY excited for September 5 to come in the hopes that things get back on a positive track!

Basically it's been the same for me too. Penny pinching. Bills needing to be paid NOW.

I didn't call my male friend for that whole August period. Starting on the 13th and I know he was upset and affected. So I'm back peddling now to get back on track.

Someone in his family unexpectedly passed and this morning I found out that a cousin was murdered.

I can't wait for it to be over.

Everything was turned upside down. I felt like I was accomplishing nothing, for all the work I put in. I was even having trouble with my speech (virgo mercury can be known for that, apparently).
