Hi nyc,

If you don't mind, what field is your degree in?

After looking at your resume, any employer will tell you that you are overqualified given that you are applying for jobs that are beneath your level of education (but I understand that you have to do what you have to do).

Have you tried securing a headhunter?

Depending on the type of degree you have, sometimes you can find temp agencies that specialize in your field (i.e. "ProMed" for those in the medical field) and can send you out on assignments. It's a good way to get your foot in the door and most agencies offer temp to perm positions.

... have tried to setlle for small jobs (restaurants etc washing dishes etc) then they say im overqualified? wtf?.

Dude, you have to dumb-down your resume ... you can't take a professional resume that outlines your REAL skills and education in to be a dishwasher.
