Why do we hate each other?

I have a Virgo friend and we have a very sibling like relationship. We know each other inside out, and when we're getting along, we get along SO well. But there is so much hatred in this friendship, on many occasions I have threatened to stop being friends with him. It's like we have no respect for each other? I find him manipulative, rude and like he is constantly trying to put me down. He finds me insensitive, selfish and rude also. I've accused him of being a sociopath on many occasions. Why is our friendship like this? Are all Virgo's so manipulative? I am an Aries btw! Virgo moon and cancer rising.
What absolutely kills me is the question mark at the end of that "we have no respect for each other" part. Downright hysterical.

Why would I, troll?
Evidently, you have no objectivity in this so called- "friendship", in which you have with him.
What you have described is entirely negative and a part of you know so, yet you choose to stay. There must be something within this downward spiral dynamic which you are addicted to (be it consciously or subconsciously so).
If there is no respect, then get out and end it. Choose your friendships wisely instead of involving yourself in a game of manipulation.
