Layers of what is to be
Pulling warmth and care around me
A shimmering defense
One layer..
Another..a voice
Its timbre like music
Winding through me
Caressing me
Brushing against me and holding me close.
Yet more.
A layer for feeling
A layer for comfort
A layer for setting me free
A layer for understanding
One for strength
Another for acceptance
Even more..
This one for desire
That for lust
Not finished yet,
This one for beauty
That for joy
One for laughter
Oh so many, so much.
This for tears shed, so profoundly moved
That for bending the Universes ear and finding blessing

You may think such a garment is heavy, ponderous.
Tripping one as they walk, not so.
With all this, I can fly.
I can soar
Twirling round with the palette swirling about me.
Absorbing it into myself as I dance, eyes closed

And look straight into you, each one coalescing and shimmering
