I am the unobtainable yet undeniable Fruit at the Top of the Tree...
Some of the best fruit is at the far end of the branch. You have to climb unstable branches and go out on a limb to reach such fruit. The fruit is sweet, firm, and ripe for picking.
Others prefer the fruit from the ground. They say it is the sweetest, but you must search diligently for sometimes the fruit that seems good is rotten to the core. Once the selection is made, this fruit is round, plump, and soft for those with sensitive teeth.
Others still prefer the fruit that is easiest to obtain. It is green and bitter but young and moldable. They may either put it in the sun on the shelf where it may properly develop... Or they take it, fry or bake it and make it into a completely different substance. Texture, firmness and core value are changed for better or worse.
I am the Fruit at the Top of the Tree...
Between the rest of the tree and me is a slick shaft of wood which cannot be shimmied or climbed. Try as you might, all attempts send you sliding back down. You may also try to make that last leap, but it sends you tumbling back to the ground.
In order to reach the Fruit at the Top of the Tree, You must grow wings. Wings to Soar to greater heights... For this fruit is golden and cannot be stolen or coaxed from it`s position of grandeur.
