Waiting

Here I sit, mind drifting
Imagining how things will be, what they can be.
What will your eyes do when you see me before you?
Will I cry? ( I might, ..I just might )
Slapping doubt away, crushing insecurity
Believing.
Letting it soar on glossy black wings.
I think to myself oh how can time elapse so quickly..
Where does it go?
What does it mean when I go on and on without you here by my side.
What will it feel like to slip my hand into yours..
How will it be when my eyes laugh up into you
What do you smell like..
What do you taste like..
What do you sound like when you sleep..
How would it feel to have your arm around my waist at night?
Your mouth under mine ( mine under yours )..what is that going to be like?
Hands gripping me, gentling
The rapid tattoo of my heart.
Soothing, erasing..
Too feel the bands I've tethered to this mortal realm snap..

So I can simply be utterly myself.
