Is lame and defeats the purpose. Somewhere along the line some arbitrary rules were decided on that we have to tell every we are being sarcastic and if we don't it's bad. Probably comes from reddit like everything lame.

In real life we don't do this. Wtf do we need to do it online for, the whole point in sarcasm is that if you're onto the joke you get it and if you're not onto the joke you don't get it and that's your problem.

Anyway I'm having fush and chups for dinner m8, but actually a burger because the fush here us average.

Actually I do have to tell people in real life I'm just joking or being sarcastic. Cus if I don't they will think I'm really serious which I'm known to be and look. I have what you would call a dry sense of humor. Online especially here I don't input none of those on here. I let them just figure it out for themselves. If they get it they get it. And if they don't oh well.

No, people are STUPID and GULLIBLE!

Not letting them know it's a joke, some kind of water mark or sign leads to feeding stupidity.

As well as bad actors using it as a excuse for intentional bad behavior.

Case and point deep fake and photoshop posts and ads being taken literally. As well as unfounded gossip and conspiracy theorys being taken as facts and actually bring repeated and taken as truth.

We have laws and regulations to protect our society. Yes that does mean some things are "inconvenient".

Sadly sheep need protection from themselves more then from wolves.

P.S. the amount of stupid shit people take for facts is scary, especially in the political sphere.

Case and point fox news being entertainment yet taken as actual factusl news and actually having serious effects in politics. It's scary.

You do realize, in person we have tonality and body language to give cues for context and intent whst is said right?

In text there isn't. So emojis and other forms of marking are needed for context to supplement the misding tonality and body language.

None of that matter?

Why and what did I point out isn't relevant or applicable?
