For me it would be in a dream or something. I actually got addicted to dreaming for a few years. I'd sleep for about an hour, then wake up to remember my dream, then go back to sleep just to have another. If I had to pick something in my waking life, that had no influence with drugs or alcohol that is much harder. Because imo most things in normal life are boring. Though I do have a few moments I felt amazing. Both situations were back when I was metal detecting constantly to find lost treasure. I dug up literally buckets of trash, which I would remove from the earth and recycle. Then one day I dug up a sterling silver necklace. I wear it to this day. When I dug into the dirt and seen it shimmering, I knew it was a precious metal. I cleaned it up, put it around my neck, and wear it to this day. Another time I was detecting in an old abandoned school yard from the early 1900s. I found so many artifacts and silver. Honestly there is no better feeling then digging up a bunch of trash 90% of the time, but then uncovering something that is shimmering in the light. Or a long lost relic that was preserved underground.

Atlanta?

One of the largest Cities in the American, South.

It's also name of Donald Glover's afro surrealist comedy which is named after the City as well.

To OP...my city is surreal every day. Multiple times a month I'm left with the feeling that this isn't a real place.

It's hard for me to pick a #1, but most of the experiences on the list involve hotel rooms, hospitals, and jails. And most of them I'd rather forget

sounds like chiron in the 12th or similar

Indeed! Chiron in the 12th and also close enough to be conjunct my rising. The worst placement ever? Survey says: yes lol

i've got my chiron there too but for strange encounters, it's always been pretty much with cabs.

I could see that

I've never watched the show before, but big cities are surreal places, America too. But I tend to enjoy the surrealism of big US cities for the most part, or at least have a certain appreciation for it. If nothing else, cities make a great backdrop for art with hundreds of thousands of lives crazily colliding off of each other. But I'm also addicted to chaos, so that's probably why I like them too lol

yeah, i can see that there might be positives to it. but being a virgo, i'm usually mortified and baffled lol. i'm pretty chaotic so i'm always aiming for some order. usually it's creepy cab drivers, weird online somewhat racist interactions, surreal asf dreams, sometimes hallucinations when i'm sleep-deprived and even my own family interactions.
