Because this site is about entertaining yourself
Do you find it "entertaining" (partially a cope excuse for familiar/comfortable in this context) to be someone's advicer/crying tissue/therapist? If so, then you have bigger problems my friend. Perhaps being too used to playing second fiddle.
I stopped contributing to the dating advice threads years ago. These days if I contribute to a dating advice thread it’s a rare act of kindness on my part.

Same. I try to avoid even reading them at this point.
I don't mind if an established member asks a question but it's usually the newbies I ignore.
i don’t mind the relationship threads. sometimes people need to bounce off ideas and thoughts in order to form the best conclusions and take wiser actions regarding their situations.
hearing other people’s opinions can be enlightening if you’re inquiring with an open mind.
the problem only comes into play when the OP already has their minds made up before even creating the thread, and isn’t open to hearing advice that may question/challenge whatever answer they already had in mind.
most people wanna see other people do great in life. so they will naturally be concerned when someone is making unwise decisions.
and sometimes people need several signs and wake up calls before they realize they’re in a bad situation too. the more traumatized they are, the longer it will take.
i’m assuming you’re talking about people in these types of situations :
it just takes some people more time than others to realize things
Hard to tell if they’re a troll post or not most of the time it’s so bad
I feel like I'm suck at giving dating advice to anybody let alone take my own advice on anything. Not that I ever give dating advice anyway. Just saying. I just pay no mind to any of those dating threads personally. It don't bother me. I just wonder what would happen if we go back to my time when we had no technology for dating and meeting up. It'll probably kill these modern day youngsters to go it all face to face with no technology advice.
I think alot of your frustration comes from lack of control.
You can take a horse to water but you can’t make them drink.
You can give “solid” advice but at the end of the day rose colored glasses are stronger than anything they serve at the bar.
Give up the desire to control and you won’t get butt hurt if people don’t take your advice.
Hmm I take no interest in others relationships irl, I mostly bite at people who constantly come in the Libra forum asking for relationship advice as if that’s all most Libras should care about.
Most often, I find I detest the convoluted, one-sided stories.

WHY tho?? WHY?
They never learn. Most of them don't take the advice. Nor do they want to hear it despite creating a thread asking for it. In most cases we are rewarding attention-seeking behavior. Why do we CARE enough to give advice to such people to begin with? Why do we care about THEIR romantic situation? What do we gain from this?
It's not hard to see how P-Angel become P-Angel.
Yes, I'm most definitely questioning and challenging the unspoken rules/customs of this site. Sue me all you want DXP 'Gods'. *eye roll*
