Do Aquarius Moons detach from their emotions easily?

I know Aquarius generally quite smart and logical. Being an Air sign too, they probably don't let their emotions get in the way of things. So was just wondering if it means if it's a specific Aquarius thing to easily detach from their emotions, or a general Air Sign thing?

A Sagittarius Sun friend of mine has an Aquarius Moon and I have a Pisces Moon and Virgo Sun. We're both empaths and combined with Pisces Moon, things can affect me emotionally really deeply and I'm very emotionally connected within and to the world and nature.

We were talking about how much watching gore and extreme violence affects us in films, shows etc. and I assumed he'd feel the same as I do because we're both empaths. But it turns out he knows how to easily detach from his emotions, and just has lots of self control over his emotions in general. Also likely because he's a doctor in the outside world, so after so long, he said he's pretty detached from death and people's pronlems emotionally. He said he has to, to protect himself whilst doing this career or else his mental health would degrade too much.

I don't really know how to detach from my emotions like that when it comes to gore, extreme violence, death, horror etc.

I have an anxiety condition which doesn't help either lol

It's just really interesting cause I thought we were the same as empaths, but I guess even empaths can be different amongst each other.

No surprise I guess since he's a full time doctor, and has one of the most emotionally detached Moons whilst I have the most emotionally connected Moons.
