Feeling the effects of your houses depends on your personal awareness and how planets influence your life. You may not directly feel like the sign ruling a house, but the house's themes can manifest through your experiences. Recognizing planetary placements helps understand these influences better, though individual perception varies.
Saturn, mars and Uranus in the 4th house. I do feel like a lot of things stemmed uniquely from upbringing and not a lot from the outside world. It would make sense since the 4th represents the home, the 10th being worldly affairs. I do think house+sign+planet makes for a more complex interpretation than sign+planet.

Well I have a fully packed 9th house and I don't feel sagittarian. I never have any physical energy. In fact all of my major planets are located in the 9th house. So i guess that's suppose to make me feel like a Sagittarius. Ironically I attract them.
Yes especially suns house. It will tell you a lot about yourself. I consider houses 49-50% of the influence of the sign its in
You can also see it as a base on which the sign expresses itself
wow, 49-50% is a lot...
and you're right about the sun having an especially strong influence on you....i've always been fascinated with the human psyche and delving deeply into things....anything shallow and superficial bores me....prone to extremes....intense emotions but i don't reveal anything that could be used against me...i also don't really get spooked or weirded out by things easily....i accept everything as it is...in its raw unfiltered state....the good, the bad, and the ugly....transformation is constantly a theme in my life too... 8th house sun (scorpio)...
The idea is that the planet is infused with the theme of the house but not necessarily the sign that is associated with the house.
Opinions on the weight of this wildly differ. Pulle for example heavily relies on it to determine your dominant planet while other ways of calculating it do not and go by aspects and general positions of your planets.
infused with the theme of the house. interesting. thank you.🙏
my sun is in the 12th and my moon is in the 8th. and there's this dude i just can't stop touching that is literally the sign energies of these houses 😂😂
and he just seems so instantly comfortable with me. we moved in together in a heartbeat, went furniture shopping on our 2nd weekend of knowing each other lol. dude is literally prepared to move anywhere with me. sometimes i feel like i'm in a weird dream. coz it's nice and peaceful enough to eat nonfat yogurt at night on a park bench. but eventually, you gotta move on and go about your day. that's not a life for everyone. but that's all i can offer this table 🤷♀️🤷♀️
this dude's mom sending us pillows and curtains too 🤣🤣

i found out i have merc and venus in sag house too...the only description that applied was "the love of adventures and travel" , "a never ending thirst for knowledge/a need to expand their minds" and "freedom-loving"..lol
do those traits apply to you too perhaps?
it also said 9th house venus have grass is greener syndrome or something but i don't really feel that....
the grass is greener where you water it .🙂 and there are no "perfect conditions" in this world. ( people, relationships, circumstances....everything has flaws.) it's just up to us to get creative with it.

Yes that makes sense because you are an Aries but its deeply affected by the 8th house(Scorpio). You cold also see it as the house being the interests and the sign as the style .
I am Aqua sun in the 5th (Leo) so I always wondered why I was attracted to open/direct expression and often went against my Scorpio moon shyness/introverted feelings.
Houses are very important

i can see how leo energy can be super helpful for a person with scorpio moon (expressing feelings don't come easily for this moon sign)

Well I do love my freedom no doubt about that. But I have a never ending thirst for money. I will even go as far as to say I love money more than women. Without money you can't get no woman. Women don't want a good looking broke man.

You could read the significance of your personal planets in your chart's houses, for example @ advanced-astrology.com
Use search and keywords (like sun in the houses) to find them easily.
Then ask the question....."Does anything resonate with me?"
I've got Sun, Moon, Mercury, Vesta (and almost Venus) in the 3rd house. It says the followings:
--The Sun in the third house sometimes resembles a Gemini Sun. People with the Sun in the third house are talkative and they love to learn new things.
--[...] natal Moon in the third house. You have a terrific memory and you are both intellectually and emotionally smart.
--A natal Mercury in third house loves to connect, to observe, and to share their conclusions. This placement tells that you are a very intelligent person who has a sharp tongue and has a way with words.
--Vesta in 3rd house people often struggle with communication if they can’t spend enough time on their own.
The only thing I agree 100% with is about Vesta, since it's a typical description of an introvert. Other than that, a word attracted my attention..."sometimes".
Maybe our planets take the flavour of the house they're in....."SOMETIMES"....?

his 4th, 5th and 6th looks dominant
i find it interesting how both his mars and merc are in the 5th house
coz mine are also both in the 1st house
we've been pretty blunt with each other after the initial shyness. and we don't really hold back on the cringe.
oh and his pisces sun is in the 6th while my virgo sun is in the 12th.
Yes, and these are very important when astrologers do chart readings. For example, my sun is in the 2nd house. I grew up with very little money, and because of that I valued my career and earing money more then most other things life had to offer. Not in a greedy way, but more for stability. Like I enjoy having a large sum of money more then actual luxury, and I'll get into why that likely is later. My moon however is in the 5th house, which represents creativity, family, and children. On paper that sounds great right? Someone who makes good money, is creative, and a strong family provider sounds perfect. That's when you have to look deeper. Then you would see I have Leo sun square to Scorpio moon. This is important to note because you have 2 square fixed signs within 2 fixed houses. It's kind of a negative place to be, because the "all or nothing" nature of it ends up focusing on one thing deeply, while the other gets buried in a sense. So for me I had the option to put all my focus into a career, or all my focus into my creativity and a family. I chose the career, and find it hard to even think about balancing both. To where if I had a cancer moon or something other then a fixed sign in the 5th house, it wouldn't guarantee synergy, but the moons potential likely wouldn't have been buried as much. Then you have to look deeper into the chart. Like I mentioned, I rather have a large sum of money then actual luxury, which doesn't sound very 2nd house like. That is likely because of a strong Saturn in Capricorn.
This is just a quick example of how houses, aspects, and planet placements can act within a chart. I'll also add I'm not a professional chart reader, or even close to one. I understand the fundamentals of how charts work, but never studied them much. At the same time I get kind of offended when people call astrology bs or fake. Those type of people have no clue how deep the rabbit hole actually goes.

wow all those planets in leo! i've read that leo houses are about self-expression. learning how to shine as your authentic self without any inhibitions. leo energy is also very encouraging towards other people, often inspiring others to come out of their shell as well and be themselves. also creative yes..!

it was especially interesting to read about the soul's karmic lessons (things we have to think about/sort out/accomplish before we die)
with all those planets in the 3rd house of gemini, do you sometimes feel restless like you're being pulled in many different directions 'cause you can see things from so many different angles, and kinda end up being indecisive about things...? (i know gemini energy can cause restlessness/indecisiveness...lol)

thanks you for providing an in-depth example of how houses and aspects can act when they interact with one another. like you say, there are so many different layers to this....it's not just black and white....very interesting.
taurus energy only feels truly safe when there's stability (not having stability is unbearable and anxiety-inducing for taurus energy...i understand this so much 'cause i have venus in taurus) so i can see why you chose to place your main focus on your career...

I don't have any problem with decision making, but yeah...I feel the pull in different directions during my daily tasks, to the extent I think I have mild ADHD. Often I start a task, then a second, third, and so on, then go back and forth between them.
Can't listen to music or to a talk without my imagination running wild and ending up elsewhere, missing the most part of it. My brain can play music by itself and is often engaged in imaginary conversations, usually with someone who lives rent free in my mind. These "conversations" are fasten than irl, because only the first part of a sentence is in words, the rest is "telepathically" understood. Sometimes I forget this is not how it's done irl, and leave my sentence unfinished or respond in the middle of someone's sentence... 😛

as I have a stellium there
Houses confuse me lol
1st house stellium - moon, mercury, Saturn, venus - 2 cap, 2aqua
12th house - sun & mars sag/cap
8th house - pluto/Uranus
Hmmmm - I do think the 12th house affects the Saggie sun, more hidden & certainly the Cap overrode it when I was younger, but with personal growth Saggie characteristics come out more. supposedly my 1st house is why I like Aries? Or is that I operate like an Aries lol
Definitely my 1st house Mars. Definitely. I find myself always having to be assertive even when I dont feel like it.
2nd house Pluto. Horrible spending habits but somehow my money always regenerates.
Both my 3rd house saturn and Uranus. You have to talk to me in person to see it lol
My 8th house is empty but let me tell you I can tell when a transit or synastry hits it cuz damn.
Got other placements in those same houses but those stand out every single day
My houses and planets
Sun (capricorn) in II
Moon(Sagittarius) in I ASC
Mercury(Aquarius) in II
Venus (Aquarius) in II
Mars (Aquarius) in III
Jupiter(Sagittarius) in XII
Saturn(Scorpio) in XI
Uranus(Sagittarius) in I ASC
Neptune(Sagittarius) in I ASC
Pluto(libra) in XI
Lilith(Capricorn) in II
N Node(cancer) in VII
I don’t understand them well to be honest .
What I guess though is that my sun is absolutely earth and moon is absolute fire , even when considering houses .
Also may be my Venus in aqua but second house can explain why I am not so aloof in romantic relationships.
it's interesting that you have your sun, mercury, venus all in the 2nd house (taurus) because when i see you around dxp, you always seem so level-headed, secure with yourself, and kind of like "the voice of reason" and i respected that about you lol
you also have jupiter in 12 house (pisces)

6th house is my dominant house. I love pets and cute animals. I actually enjoy making lists and scheduling things.
I assume hygiene is important to everyone, I suppose I do go the extra mile though. For example, I use body wash and then exfoliators.

It’s confusing because some say it’s important, some say it’s just areas of life in which that planet expresses itself.
I still don’t fully understand how it works, but I personally in my case, I feel it and feels more important than the signs itself.
I have a Aquarian stellium including Aquarius moon. But Im not unemotional or cold detached like the descriptions or what people say. Im very emotional and experience the world through feeling rather than logic. Im an INFP personality type. So that alone is a feeling personality type.
I always wondered why Im not unemotional and detached like Aquarius is supposedly? Detached from reality at times ? Maybe but not in the way Aquarius is described.
Even since I was young and didn’t know anything about astrology, it made no sense. I felt very emotional but hid it from others (12th house) , I also thought about and worried about the collective and stood up at night thinking and or worrying about the state o f the world when I was a child. Mostly because of movies I watched, or things Ive heard Id hope they weren’t real. Id ask my mom over and over again if a movie was real because I used to believe it was. But I wanted to relieve the anxiety of it being real by confirmation.
I was not afraid of emotions as I was often times flooded with emotions and worried about outrageous things that I realize now were so outrageous that I didn’t have anything to worry about.
But I have all my Aquarius placements in the 12th house. I also have so much 12th house energy such as the ruler of my ascendent is there as well. I believe that might be the reason Ive been that way basically all my life.
12th house is the collective and unconscious and Im sure many who also have 12th house placements strong in their chart also have grown up with this innate feeling. I feel like it’s more telling than any of my other placements.
Ive known several ppl while I was in high school, all born the same day and year yet were much different. Why? I feel like it must be the house placements?
Idk astrology os confusing because everyone has their way of interpreting charts. Some astrologers believe houses and aspects are more important than the actual sign.
So Im interested in knowing if others feel their house placements too.
i’ve heard that 12th house in anything is an empath, maybe even almost psychic? also your aqua moon might make you have humanitarian tendencies since aqua energy is often concerned with the state of the world and the “masses”. i know many aquas who are involved in volunteer work. but you’re definitely right that 12th house will make someone very sensitive to the pain and suffering of others.

It's funny how they call it "maladaptive" daydreaming, but at the same time a multi billion market is trying to recreate it to make it available for the masses. From virtual reality, to mind-uploading your loved ones, so you could "talk" to them after they passed.
It's definitely a Pisces super power. For us, this future is readily available and free of charge 🙂

I hear a lot about the psychic abilities for 12th housers. According to astrology I should be VERY psychic maybe even a Shaman lol
I don’t feel psychic. But maybe I have to learn to channel it.
I know I have a lot of fears which makes to difficult for me to completely trust my intuition.
I do though feel like I manifest things very easily. Or maybe that happens to everyone 😂
Do you have anything in the 12th house?

when they say psychic , i think they mean the ability to read people’s thoughts. not psychic as in being able to look into the future although it could mean that too lol but either way being an empath is a gift. you could help many people if you wanted to. but one thing you might want to be aware of is absorbing too much heavy energy like a sponge (12th housers tend to absorb energies like sponges apparently....both good and bad) so it’s important to make sure you take time alone in nature or somewhere to recharge lol (somewhere calm).
it can be hard to tell the difference between anxiety/fear and intuition. i’m still trying to figure that out myself lol i think it will get better with experience and practice though...and you’re right about 12th housers being good at manifesting. It’s because they have a more colorful, vivid imagination than most. i only have Jupiter in the 12th house...lol

I don’t understand them well to be honest .
What I guess though is that my sun is absolutely earth and moon is absolute fire , even when considering houses .
Also may be my Venus in aqua but second house can explain why I am not so aloof in romantic relationships.
it's interesting that you have your sun, mercury, venus all in the 2nd house (taurus) because when i see you around dxp, you always seem so level-headed, secure with yourself, and kind of like "the voice of reason" and i respected that about you lol
you also have jupiter in 12 house (pisces)
this page was really enlightening when i was trying to understand this placement 'cause i have it too.

I don’t know why I heard this Kanye verse (if you’re familiar), when reading the part where you wrote…” and I respected that about you “
Kanye
“ If you admire somebody you should go ahead and tell um
People never get the flowers while they could still smell um “
😂😂 That was sweet of you! I love to see someone who’s not afraid to give a compliment, and show admiration for even the simplest things. You come off as a very sweet, genuine person, on here. I like that. 🙂

so, until a few days ago, i didn't know a single thing about "houses" in astrology but just out of curiosity, i decided to look up the houses my planets were in.
my question is,
are we supposed to feel like the signs that rule these houses...?
for example, if someone's moon is in the 4th house, are they supposed to feel like a cancer moon even if their actual moon is in virgo?
or if someone's sun is in the 1st house, are they supposed to feel like an aries sun even if their sun is in pisces?
what houses are your planets in (for those who don't mind sharing here) and do you feel the effects of those signs at all...? (signs that rule the houses)
