Advice for an Aries woman on an aquaman pls!

I've been casually seeing this aquaman for a year now, for the 1st 9 mths it's worked well. I always leave it to him to get in touch as I don't do chasing, we'd hook up and I would leave. Since sep he's been coming to mine and making a point of staying for a while and wanting to talk about random things. He's made a couple of curt comments when I've told him how great the sex is. Such as "it's not his profession" and he's not on tap. Making me think he's starting to feel a bit used. Asking randomly what kind of man would I want to be with. I'm not sure if he's trying to tell me something or if it's just general chat.
Any thoughts pls 🙂

I kinda knew that's what he was doing but didn't want to assume lol I do like him but have been badly hurt by an aqua before. So I'm not prepared to let my guard down so easily.
He's a typical aqua so I know that him opening up and wanting conversations is his way of testing the waters so to speak.

Also I know he likes his variety so to speak hence me being wham, bam, and bye with him. I honestly didn't expect it to go on this long as I thought he might have got bored or vice versa. So this new behavior has come as a bit of a shock.

So is it a sexual only relationship? Is that what you want? Seems like he's thinking it is. If you want more spend some time with him doing something that doesn't involve sex. Go do an activity together - go ride go carts, go to the shooting range, go rock climbing, go to a museum, whatever you're both into. Doing activities together is bonding.

I have found that aquas need more reassurance than they let on. So reassure him that you like him for more than his body.

Thank you truecap, That is how it was meant to be in the beginning and it has suited me fine. however he's the one that has seemed to want to talk more. I'll reassure him I'm intrigued by his mind too and see where that leads.

The only reason I'd ask questions like that is because I have the impression your just booty calling me. Simple. Don't be all bout one thing

He normally initiates contact and if we're both free we meet up. When we do meet he practically pounces on me before I'm even in the door. The talking always comes afterwards.
I must admit I have played it cool and let him take the lead as I know how much the aqua needs their freedom.
The next time I see him I will try to get him to talk before he pounces as it would be nice to know him other than the physical level.

I understand that from a previous aqua I was with, but we were in an exclusive relationship. Where as this 1 will ask me if I've seen other men since I was last with him (which i don't as I'm 100% satisfied) and when I told him no, I don't see the need, he said he's not on tap & I need other resources 😕 And then seemed to lighten up when I told him I'm happy with just seeing him. I'm very confused right now.

That was my thinking on all this. The amount of time I spend making sure I respond in such a way that can't be taken the wrong way is silly lol

Yes I certainly have insecurity issues, that's why I've kept it casual. He's never really struck me as insecure before, but just recently I've been picking up on it. I would love to be the bigger person and let go 1st but I can't do that unless I know the other person isn't going anywhere lol
