Aquarius Man (Ex) Popped Up--What does he want??

Was dating an aqua guy the earlier part of 2016 (7 months). The last time I saw him was on my Birthday which was Sept 22. A week before this I had admitted to him that I was falling for him, but it appeared we wanted different things so I suggested we part ways. Long story short, On my bday he insisted I come by, He ended up being a total dickhead and I hadn't heard from him since then.

On Thanksgiving, he sent me a text wishing me and my family a Happy Thanksgiving. I was surprised to have received the message so waited all day before responding with- "Thanks. Same to you". Then yesterday on Christmas he sent me a text saying "Merry Christmas Lola!"

Why is he reaching out to me? What the hell does he want? I haven't responded to his Christmas text and don't think I will.

Just being friendly. I don't suspect he wants anything... probably he misses you a bit, but he's too proud to admit something now.

Yeah, you're probably right. I'm pretty sure he was seeing someone else while we were together and decided to pursue her instead. My guess is now that things are probably over with the other girl he's hoping that I'm dumb enough to take the bait...
