Aquarius man won't express himself

Please help me understand this Aquarius man .. I know he cares about me .because he does things to get my attention when I'm mad at him and not talking to him .. he does little things to try to keep me in his life even when I wanted to be done ... we have been friends for 3 1/2 years we have never been sexual towards each other . So I'm not lusting over him but he won't express how he feels about me .. or if he feels anything !! Why ? I don't understand he told he wanted to talk to me because something was on his mind but when he got here nothing ! He never said what he had to and I didn't wanna force him

It seems like its a push and pull game, every time you push he seems to pull.

It could also be that he is not sure about you or, you aren't being clear to him of your intentions towards him.

When you are not mad at him, how does he behave towards you?

Its really hard to us to trust anybody,even if we know them for a long time.Its not easy to express our feelings to anyone...example...I still never tell to anyone how bad and depressed I feel,because I am scared about the peoples opinion a lot.I am scared of loosing important people to me.I always hide my emotions and that's why people think I am cold and detached.
