Lisabeth you are one different aqua, but I know some really weird aquas. But I really don't mind. It's cool and better than being all pretentious and fitting societal roles.

i'm guessing it's ENVIRONMENT too. The ones you know are probably influenced by their environment.

And plus upbringing. I had a huge family growing up and we were all tight-knit and it was full of love, up and down crazy sometimes, but we're a loving family for the very most part.

I have never met a sign who is really okay with being alone than aqua. I think that's fascinating.

However now I'm curious... have you been diagnosed or know someone who has been diagnosed with schizotypal personality disorder? I would like to hear the story, if it's not too personal.

I've always taken generalizations with a grain of salt, they're not meant to be 100% true. I get what you're saying though.

One of my best friends was diagnosed with schizophrenia a couple of months ago. To me he's not what you would call normal, but I would never describe him as mentally ill. If anything, his reasoning may be different than the norm or average. Very smart, out of the box reasoning. But ill? Hardly, I'd say.

Here's why I disagree with this

This schizotypal personality disorder definition implies that anyone with any of these attributes REGARDLESS OF REASON (b/c ya know there could be 1,000 different reasons for something) MUST be schizotypal

To suggest that anyone who loves the abstract, thinks outside of the box, is superstitious or has trust issues must be schizotypal is absurd.

Different doesn't always = wrong, bad, crazy or psycho

If a person loves art or anything subjectively abstract are they schizotypal too?

Is a person who has trust issues or might have problems sometimes attaching to every single person who walks by, schizotypal too? People in EVERY sign have discussed difficulty either biting bait or throwing bait, but yet when Aquarian has this problem on occasion, WE get the label as schizotypal?

If I shock you b/c of something I say/do, don't be so arrogant to assume that I did it for YOU. Sometimes the things I say/do are just...well..shocking. But don't think I wake up every morning thinking of how I can be the center of attention & shock you. If YOU chose to be shocked by something I did/said, that's on YOU, not me. I'm not suddenly schizotypal b/c I did/said something you consider shocking or don't understand. Remember, what shocks you may not even make the next person flinch

The thing is, I know a lot of people who claim to have seen ghosts or UFOs. Another friend of mine claims to have seen an alien. So I'm just like whoaa that's cool bro, I just don't find it particularly strange.

I'm not crazy but this fits me to a T??_..i have no close friends no matter what I do it seems I always have unrealistic expectations from people and life in general and tend to push people away because they dont understand me.

I'm interested in the esoteric, supernatural, magickal and extra terrestrial time travellers and the reptilian bloodlines and endless possibilities such as corrupt corporations and government officials are trying to rule the world??_??_I'm afraid to eat foods with certain chemicals because its linked to mind control, I won't even be around a teflon pan if someone cooks with it the way I see it, if a parrot can get sick around a teflon pan then so can I??_..theres so much unnecessary chemicals that are everywhere and it boggles my mind??_Just the other day I my dad was driving me down the highway and on the side of the road I see this council guy wearing what looked like a nuclear protection suit spraying the hedges with "weed killer"??_..and the pressure was on so high it was splashing everywhere and the wind was catching it and going onto the highway and I didn't wind up my window in time and some spray got in and was on my lip and I instantly started to get sick??_..instantly I wanted to go back there and rip his mask off to see if he was a reptile or grey man??_..He might have just been a normal man doing his "job" but thats what I hate about humans they just go about their day doing their job without fully realising or understand what the corporate guy at the top of the ladder has in store for public??_..

yeah those with paranoid shizophrenia are not so fragmented and disorganized as other forms of schiz but if you get them to talk about their delusions, you will be amazed at how well formed and convincing they are, that one will really be tempted to believe them.

but yes one needs to be careful before considering anything a delusion because things like ghosts, ufos, telepathy, telekinetics etc. are pretty commonly believed by people and belief in supernatural phenomena, is quite culturally related so one cannot outright call it bizarre.

one really needs to know how strongly held, unshakeable these beliefs are and how much the person has organized his thoughts and life style around these beliefs..thats where the catch for pathology lies...at the end of the day if a person's life is too influenced by these thoughts to the point of dysfunction then its definitely a problem.

In my friends case, I think it has to do with the suicidal thoughts he's been having for months.

He seems to do pretty good in general, so I thought he was just depressed.

Would be funny to give all signs a personality disorder lol I think this would definitely fit Aquas to a T. From memory there was a post somewhere on some random website that tried to appropriate what personality a sign would have based on Briggs Myer and aquas were supposedly meant to be ENTP or something and some common personality disorders associated with it is actually stpd.

I'll admit to suffering depression so most of the possible checks apply to me but it's situational. I think most who suffer from episodic depression knows not to talk about it or display signs of it in public not out of shame but out of necessity to function normally without drawing attention and sometimes that could be viewed as being weird.

Does this only apply to Aqua sun or would it apply to aqua moon and venus guys?

I can completely relate to this and the OP.

I dont have close friends either, its actually sorta sad. They often end up pushed away because they dont understand me too. and it wasnt until they were all gone that I realized that I was / am all alone in this world. I feel like everyday is a battle.

I love the occult and supernatural stuff like ghosts, astrology too. I havent trusted the government since I was little, I dont know why, I just sense the corruptness, and dont understand how others cant see it. People often think Im too intense because I wont eat certain foods either. I dont see the logic in eating chemicals... and I dont understand how people can see all of the poisioness ingredients on their food label, and still eat it, its crazy to me.
