I know some Aquas who hate so many things because they think that liking them will categorize them. Like, they hate pop music to the point where they really get depressed being in a car of people listening to it because they want so desperately to be different from the crowd. That kind of attitude can ruin a persons life...

I hate trends. If it's in, count me out. It's a natural reaction, has nothing to do with wanting to be different.

Lol the Aquarians I know would in no way consider themselves hipsters.

But yea, I'd go so far as to compare the archetype of Aquarius to Lucifer. I'm not taking a shot or anything but I really do feel that the plight of Aquarius and Lucifer are the same in that they're number one motivation is to maintain they're own independence. Lucifer from God, and Auarians from the labeling of social constructs.

I think the reason you think it is a big stretch is because your looking at Lucifer as being evil. I don't see him as being evil as much as tragic, he just loves himself and is terrified at the thought of losing himself to God. In my mind Aquarians are similar in that they are terrified of accepting categorization because of the limits to themselves they would incur as a result.

But, if you believe in Process Theology, eventually lucifer will have to accept God just like Aquarians will have to accept that stamp and brand they are so terrified of.

Suppose it'll be interesting and funny to poll 'hipsters' and see how many of them are actually Aquarius. To bad being hipster isn't so hip anymore.

Well, viragos, taureans, and capricorns are all the signs I would consider to be hipsterish because Earth signs are so big into having 'the life style '. Which is fine it really is, its just the polar opposite of what Aquarians do.

hm I like being an aquarius because I like intellectual things, I like to think and to wonder - my fantasy is one big fat ass playground and I can keep playing there for hours lol I'm all good by myself alone and I'm not needy. I like that because life requires that more than you think. life challanges you to be strong minded and brave many times - so it's a plus if you are good by yourself.

although many people might not think it's a positive thing to be aloof or whatsoever - life showed me in many ways that it's a good thing to be able to rely on yourself without breaking down in 1000 pieces - aquarius can do that. we can swallow and swallow and still stand there for everyone to see - without looking like a wreck.

downside: I guess people who I love and love me back would benefit if I would show way more affection and concern. I just don't feel comfy being mooshy and all that
