A female friend tells you she has romantic feelings for you, but she doesn't expect you to feel the same or do anything about it. She's getting it out of her system, putting it out there (else caging it may make her burst!) and wants to remain friends...How would you take this?

And no Lisbethur8, it's not about me and my aqua. I'm too chicken shit to try that...besides he kissed me after lunch today so I'm getting an idea of how he feels. 😉

I agree! Not for the faint hearted... I couldn't do it, but know someone who did. She didn't hear it back straight away, but he eventually married her, they're as happy as Larry!

To be honest I don't see why people can't be straight forward. If you make your feelings known straight off then less time wasted. If it is not reciprocated at least you know early in the game you are now free to make your next move!!! Simple!!!

That is me straight down the line! I don't fear rejection. If the person does not respond straight away. I give them a time limit then I cut all connections to them! I will not spend time in 'limbo' wondering how that person feels or having messages ignored with person playing hot and cold bs! Not for me! I can't do that bullshit!! If it is not reciprocated I have no problem being platonic friends with a guy and I am in total control of my feelings /sexuality that I will not be 'temoted'. Next!!!

Interesting. How about awkwardness? Do the dynamics not change after such a confession? Can you really put a time limit on someone's feelings? True, hot and cold is bullshit, but what happened to love is patient?
