I hate my work place....... my cancer boss is my director/ friend she offered me a job at her work she manages a fine food shop in town we sell snails, balsamics, asian, euro etc etc to stuck up foodies.....i also work with 2 libras who study psychology who annoy the shit out of me when they are together cos they fap over each others intelligence and their exam scores which is so fucking boring and it just makes me cringe when they condescend to me like Im an idiot when they are the IDIOTS! ......my boss the bitch.....was my friend and i looked up to her like a teacher cos she directed shows that ive been in and we became close but as soon as she got me this job she turned into the biggest cunt ever! its like the bitch is addicted to drama and the only reason she hired me is because I'm like the odd one out of the group and yes i admit i am theatrical and extroverted and happy all the time "externally".....she puts me down in front of customers in front of new staff which is annoying especially when i want to make a good first impression and she gets off on my reactions when i dont react I internalize it....its fucked ....she knows how to cut me to the quick........and lately ive been getting short like i can go through the days all nice and happy but a remark from someone at work and its over I start plotting to destroy the place......and i hate feeling like i need to work because christmas is just around the corner and Ive never needed money but mums been bugging me for an ipod and my whole family in fiji is bugging me for money cos they are poor n stuff... its never appealed to me I only spend it on ciggerettes and stuff like macbooks n xbox...i feel like the man is a 5 foot raggity anne doll lookalike with tattoos and and is busting my balls and for what? 17bucks an hour!? Ive worked in cafes n restaurants with psycho chefs and none of them could cut me deeper with a kitchen knife than she does with her attitude..

this is me having a rant and getting it out which is what i love about this forum...if u have any suggestions on how to reclaim piece of mind against this abomination of a human plz by all means post something

Just learn to separate work from life. I'm not fond of the 'hospo' life style especially when I work in bars and almost every night the crew gets together and get stupidly drunk. I've also accepted the fact that while some people make great friends they are outright horrible bosses. For that reason I'm currently leaving my job and looking for another one.

All I can say is rather than complaining here you should approach the individuals. I did that with my boss hoping to fix the situation but nothing was being done. I am however confident in my own skills that I'm not afraid to be out of a job for the short term.

This is obviously driving you to the point where you want to be heard so which would you rather talk about? The work? or the family situation? If it's just work the simple solution is to quit, if it extends beyond that due to financial situations with the family I suggest looking for a new job and just make peace with what's happening at your current job until you can call it quits.

Also if you're in Aus, if it's actually affecting you personally so much you can look into work compo especially under the bullying part. That's only if it's that serious. I personally don't enjoy being emotionally bullied at work, whether it's by a colleague or the company. Just weigh up if it's worth it effort.

I'm sorry I have no respect for my elders what so ever unless their einstein, plato, Confucius, Aristotle etc etc ppl who i can actually learn something and died contributing to the well of knowledge unlike the so called "elderly" ppl of today who are hell bent on giving me advice like wash my mouth out thinking thats the root of my problem when the root of my problem is that im an angry person.... a methodical angry person who doesnt express his feelings openly and is considering self medicating himself with valium or xanax before going to work to deal with this cunt of a bitch woman who i considered an elder who i could learn from and trusted.....but is actually abusing her power day by day and i feel like i cant do anything that makes me want to kill myself more and more..

but however thank you to the aquarian guy who had advice for me I shall take that on board......Yes when i was living in melb i head of some bullying act thing that some chick killed herself because her bosses were fucked and they take it very seriously down there....I feel like I should leave the job and ive already sent out applications for other jobs rather than stay until it gets worse and repot her resulting in alienating me from the theatre community so yeh.....i shall run which i do best

they could have been terrible to their families. could have been. We don't know personally. Most philosophers are wonderful giving out advise but their families SUFFER. It is similar to the scientist who spends most of his time in the laboratory or researching out in the fields who leaves his family at home. But we don't know that either.
Socrates was considered horrible to his wife, but he was great with his buddies, and stupendously awesome with his words of wisdom. They lacked balance anyway if they want both worlds.

Tell the bitch why did you want me to come and work for you if you are going to treat me like shit? Tell her you obviously hired me because I'm an awesome person so why don't you start treating me like I am. I would say if she doesnt start treating you differently tell her to go fuck herself(maybe say this in a nicer way if you can)Also, Can you really call her a friend when she puts you down to other people? She sounds like a piece of work. As for the holidays it's a stressful time for everyone, just have to get through the New year and things will start looking up. Wish you the best!
