My aqua refers me as friend.. dating for 5 mo

IS it normal for Aqua guy?

Well, he didn't say the word "friend" to me for awhile... Then, he brought it up today in our text conversation.
It's like:

Him: "I'm so shame that I have a speeding driving friend"
Me: "I shame on myself too that I have a friend who just got the speed ticket" (I talked about him and went with the flow"
Him: "Right, so shame on my friend now bc she didn't get a ticket. So I wish she will get the ticket soon 🙂"
"Best friend ever?"
Me: "NO!"

Why he still calls me "friend"?? I'm so upset.
We're dating for 5 months now. He's going to drive for 3 hours to see me tomorrow and spend time with me for 3 days here.

Idk what we're right now.

Thank you everybody!! I'm trying to relax... I'm also scared to bring this topic up to ask him. I'm just scared that he isn't serious about me or talking with other girls beside me.

But sometimes, I feel like he proofed himself to me that he isn't talking with anyone beside me such as he always checks Facebook, other chat apps in front of me so I can see what he's doing or talking.

So should I be relaxed and go with the flow then?
What about he mentions the word "friend" with me again? What should I do?
